I have replaced Pillage with Requisition Raid, which reduced the average converted mana cost of this deck from 3.65 to 3.61, which is very nice, as the newer card is far more versatile, although I do dearly wish that it was an instant, rather than a sorcery.

I have replaced Pillage with Soul Shatter, since the latter card better matches the theme of this deck, and that change did increase the prevalence of black in this deck, but I designed this deck to be able to handle such a condition; I almost chose Rush of Dread, but I decided that I preferred an instant over a sorcery and one that affected all opponents simultaneously over one that affected only a single opponent.

FormOverFunction, that would actually be a very awesome twist, in my mind, akin to how there were two episodes of Batman: the Animated Series that were the results of Scarecrow's hallucinating drugs.

RiotRunner789, Ophiomancer is a nice card, but I believe that I can use Black Market Connections to generate a token for blocking, if I need to do so; yes, the token does not have deathtouch, but I am not certain if I can make room in this deck for Ophiomancer.

As for the other cards, they are nice, but I again am not certain if I can find a place for them, in this deck, although I certainly do appreciate your suggestions.

legendofa, I have read all of the Redwall books, and they were some of my favorite books when I was younger, so I suppose that I can understand why some players are excited for Bloomburrow.

This year is the 25th anniversary of the 1999 version of The Mummy, an action-adventure film by Universal Pictures, which some may regard as a spiritual successor to their 1932 film of the same name, as the movies do share a number of similarities, such as being set in Egypt during the 1920's, characters awakening an ancient mummy from the dead, and the lead female character being the reincarnation of the villain's former lover (or needing to be sacrificed to revive said lover), but the two films are radically different in tone, which is understandable, as they were made over sixty years apart, so I believe that the newer films should be regarded as its own entity and not seen as having any connection to the earlier film, apart from its name.

The movie clearly takes inspiration from the original Indiana Jones trilogy, which itself was inspired by action-adventure films of the 1930's and 40's, as it features a group of intrepid explorers discovering ancient treasure and then unleashing dark forces beyond their comprehension, and, as such, I certainly enjoyed watching it, and I can hardly believe that it is now a quarter of a century old, as that certainly makes me feel old.

The movie is fun and action-packed, but I do feel that still devotes sufficient time to developing its characters and ensuring that its plot is reasonably well-developed and entertaining, and it was sufficiently popular that Universal studios produced two sequels and a series of spin-off films, although I personally feel that none of the following movies matched the original, as is so often the case with movie franchises.

How does everyone else here feel about this year being the 25th anniversary of The Mummy? Are you excited about it?

Crow_Umbra, yes, that does make sense, and I have no intention of purchasing any products from Bloomburrow, but I worry that that set may contain some cards that would be great for my decks, so I would then have a dilemma; I have already purchased several cards from Universes Beyond sets, because they were simply too good to not purchase, so I dearly hope that that does not happen, again.

Also, why do people like cute things? Is there no audience for dark, edgy, grim, and gritty stories and media?

I have replaced Diabolic Revelation with Rune-Scarred Demon, which increased the average converted mana cost of this deck from 3.85 to 3.89, but that increase is deceptive, since I would need to spend at least 7 mana on the former card to truly receive value from it, and I also am very fond of demons, so I am very pleased with this decision.

Most of the users here seem to be suggestion that I use the demon, and I agree with them, but I simply wished for reassurance, so I shall make that change, since Diabolic Revelation is a nice card, but I would need to spend at least 2 mana, ideally at least 3 mana, on to truly receive good value from the spell, which may leave me with no mana to cast any of the cards that I find, whereas the demon shall provide me with a sizeable creature for attacking and blocking while I wait for my next turn, on which I can cast the card that I found, presuming that I do not have sufficient mana to cast it, on the same turn that I find it.

RiotRunner789, my Sen Triplets deck does not have major focus on reanimating creatures, as it is a control deck, so I shall need large and powerful creatures to protect myself while I assemble my forces and then finish off my opponents, once I have sufficiently established my presence in the game.

Crow_Umbra, Lorwyn/Shadowmoor did not have any humans, either.

FormOverFunction, Goldberserkerdragon, I severely dislike anything that is cute, so I most certainly shall not be heavily invested in Bloomburrow and I also dearly hope that it is not popular with the players.

I had also considered putting Unbound Flourishing in this deck, but this deck does not contain quite enough cards that synergize with that enchantment to justify including it in this deck.

I have just made some major changes to this deck; for the first time ever, I have changed the general of this deck, replacing Uril, the Miststalker with Marath, Will of the Wild, because, while Uril was certainly an excellent general, it did not match the theme of this deck, which contained a mere six auras, whereas Marath does, and, upon making that change, I have decided to further emphasize this deck's theme of +1/+1 counters, specifically, by replacing Armadillo Cloak, Bear Umbra, Runes of the Deus, Scourge of the Nobilis, Shield of the Oversoul, and Snake Umbra with All Will Be One, Cathars' Crusade, Warleader's Call, Fertilid, Kalonian Hydra, and Steelbane Hydra; I had contemplated putting Forgotten Ancient in this deck, but I was not able to find space for it, and I also wish to minimize overlap with or similarities between this deck and my Atraxa, Praetors' Voice EDH deck, and, while this deck does not have quite as great of an emphasis on generating creature tokens as does my Ghired, Conclave Exile EDH deck, I still believe that it has a sufficient focus to justify the inclusion of Warleader's Call, which also has great synergy with Tamanoa. I also replaced Titanic Ultimatum with Pathbreaker Ibex, because the creature can use its ability repeatedly. I had considered putting Cabaretti Ascendancy into this deck, but I feel that this deck does not contain quite a sufficient number of creature cards to justify the inclusion of that card.

Overall, these changes reduced the average converted mana cost of this deck from 40.6 to 4.05, which is only a minimal change, but doing so also reduced the number of colored mana symbols in this deck, which is also a very good thing.

What does everyone else say about this? Do you believe that I did well with overhauling this deck?

It seems that many players are excited about Bloomburrow, but I am not certain why that is, since sentient beings that resemble anthropomorphic non-human animals, such as leonin, ainok, and viashino, have been part of this game for many years now, so I wonder what Bloomburrow offers that the game has not already had; is it the fact that the plane of Bloomburrow is inhabited only by anthropomorphic animals, and no humanoids?

What does everyone else say about this? Why are some players so excited for Bloomburow?

I have a copy of Diabolic Revelation in my Sen Triplets EDH deck, although I am considering replacing it with a copy of Rune-Scarred Demon, since I like having a powerful 6/6 creature with flying, which I could potentially summon repeatedly, to use its ability multiple times.

What does everyone else say about this? Should I replace Diabolic Revelation with Rune-Scarred Demon, or keep the sorcery in that deck?

DapperKava, since each enchantment triggers under different conditions, there should not be any confusion regarding which cost a player is paying.

How is Planar Nexus any different from Nearby Planet?

wallisface, Gidgetimer, you definitely are making well-reasoned points, at least about the game, but I most certainly know what is best for myself, and I would never allow anyone else to tell me what is best, for me, but that is, again, a subject for another thread.

As for fan-made cards, I agree that many of them are made by people who do not understand how this game works, but I still severely dislike the complete disconnect between the designers and players, a disconnect that exists in nearly every game ever made, and one that I dearly wish did not exist.

I have both Sylvan Library and Angel of Jubilation in one of my decks, so does the library's ability bypass the angel's restriction? I presume that it does, since the angel prevents players from paying life to activate abilities, while the library's ability is a triggered ability.

What does everyone else say about this subject? Does Sylvan Library bypass Angel of Jubilation?
