Grothama's Ruin

Hear me citizens! You are all cordially invited to enjoy the show in the Arena of the Librarian. His champion Grothama, All-Devouring, lays awaiting for any who dares to challenge her. Test your might!

This deck aims to bring out Grothama, All-Devouring to draw 25 cards, closing the game with big swinging creatures. Alternatively, you could play the politician and let your playgroup face off their creatures against Grothama, All-Devouring for their own card draw while you build your board state.

The goal of this deck is to bring out Grothama, All-Devouring and Mossbridge Troll fast, pump Mossbridge Troll by tapping Grothama, All-Devouring to then draw 25 cards. After drawing 25 cards chances are you've hit one of the four cards in this deck removing the handsize constraint: Reliquary Tower; Spellbook; Library of Leng; Thought Vessel.

Having 25+ cards in hand puts a big target on your back so pushing through with an attack the next turn to maintain momentum usually is the smart play, however sometimes opponents will underestimate you, and keep squabbling amongst themselves. If that's the case using your next turn to max out your ramp and tutor up your wincons.

Onward with the attack! Get those big creatures out for free with Eureka or by casting Myojin of Life's Web from your hand, give them trample and haste with Concordant Crossroads, Crashing Drawbridge, Finale of Devastation, Kamahl, Fist of Krosa and Stonehoof Chieftain and swing in.

If Mossbridge Troll gets removed there are a few other options to face off against Grothama, All-Devouring such as Stonehoof Chieftain, Terastodon, Myojin of Life's Web, and Multani, Maro-Sorcerer. Multani, Maro-Sorcerer could actually be the stronger option if you (or opponents) succeed in drawing enough cards.

Protection

Protect your spells from being countered or removed using cards in the 99 such as Allosaurus Shepherd; Alpha Authority; Lightning Greaves; Heroic Intervention; Tamiyo's Safekeeping; Avoid Fate; Boseiju, Who Shelters All.

Problemsolving

Viable removal found in mono-green is in this deck: Beast Within; Bramblecrush; Kenrith's Transformation; Khalni Ambush  ; Krosan Grip; Lignify; Naturalize; Nature's Claim; Prey Upon; Song of the Dryads; Terastodon; Ulvenwald Tracker.

Graveyard recursion to retrieve answers; get extra value out of the ETB creatures; or if you have let Grothama, All-Devouring go to the graveyard due to mana constraints: Bala Ged Recovery  , or Noxious Revival.
