Quickspell on Build a Deck with Me …

If I may add a few other notes to your thought process.

• You said that you want to go infinite, and Ghired and Sunstrike Legionnaire or Midnight Guard would be you main line.
• You also mentioned other combolines such as Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts.

At this point, you are already on the track of using known combos and putting them into a Naya shell. There are many other combos that can go with this, you just need to tutor for them.

Note that haste is an important aspect to this. Zealous Conscripts is much better than Hyrax Tower Scout or Sparring Mummy for this reason, even though both have cheaper mana value. Without haste, your million tokens will just be board-wiped. You could argue for redundancy, but the truth is that tutors and recursion such as Eternal Witness and Skullwinder are much better, because they add to your strategy with more flexibility.

Most creature tutors are green non-creature spells that search for green creatures. However, you want to keep the amount of non-creature spells low, because Ghired's ability doesn't apply to them. But there are some great tutors that can help you find your pieces:

• Defense of the Heart is great to outright win the game with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and Zealous Conscripts. If you can produce a lot of treasure (which shouldn't be a problem with Ghired), Tooth and Nail does the same for 9 mana. Shared Summons tutors them to your hand.
• If you are considering Molten Duplication, there is redundancy with Twinflame and Heat Shimmer. All of them will be helpful for Ghired, but most importantly, all of them go infinite with Dualcaster Mage.
• Sunstrike Legionnaire can be found by both Imperial Recruiter and Recruiter of the Guard
• Midnight Guard can be found by Imperial Recruiter
• Both Imperial Recruiter and Recruiter of the Guard can also find Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker

Most of these cards use ETBs. If you can give them haste - ideally with creatures - you can cast them, make use of their ETB, and directly tap them with Ghired for value. Anger comes to mind, Hellraiser Goblin is great (you won't be attacking, because you are going to tap your creatures with Ghired), Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods can be okay. As for non-creature spells, you have Mass Hysteria, Concordant Crossroads, Fervor, Rising of the Day. Though I would probably only consider Hammer of Purphoros as it can create tokens.

As for the token doublers, I'm not sure if they really fit the deck. Sure, they are staples for token strategies. But what's the point of making infinite tokens go double? Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation  ^Flip will put a bounty on your head which is not a good thing in a combo-deck. You want to stay under the radar until you can go off.
Mondrak only doubles creature tokens, so you are not making more treasures. And the other doublers like Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives etc. will not tap with Ghired. Since you also want to put in all the other Naya-staple enchantments like Smothering Tithe and Guardian Project etc., you will just fill your deck with non-creatures that don't synergize with your commander.

Thank you for your quick response, I understand your position.

Regarding haste sources, while you do run flame village, I thought hall of bandit would be a potential form of redundancy in a land slot that frees up another slot. If you're considering anger, then why not just go for Hammer of Purphoros? Costs less, doesn't need to die (although harder to deal with in the grave) and can even make a token (for whatever that's worth)

This deck is very well put together, it's hard to provide any meaningful suggestions.

I think you should put Dockside extortionist in > Black Market Connections. I know you are testing it but I think the treasure token value from dockside outweighs any benefit from black market connections, especially a 3/2 token. Your avg cmc is 3.77 with about 10 ramp pieces. If you were to increase your ramp, it could help you apply the pressure.

How has Anger been playing for you? You don't have a lot of mountains so I wonder, would a Hammer of Purphoros be potential swap?

Herald of Secret Streams and Akroma's Memorial should be added to your Wincon category. I also think you need maybe 1 or 2 more ways to give your field evasion to get the win when you can.

In that vein, I think you need more ways to exploit a big field in a single turn with Haste, which also makes your dorks go faster. You have access to Red, but only a couple ways to give Urtet Haste (and both are colorless to boot). Maybe a couple from this list will help: Samut, Tyrant Smasher, Alibou, Ancient Witness, Concordant Crossroads/Mass Hysteria, Hammer of Purphoros/Rhythm of the Wild, Nahiri's Resolve, Uncivil Unrest, and Winged Hive Tyrant.

Nice to see another Myriad Isshin list. I think yours is probably the 2nd or 3rd I've seen. Have you had a chance to play the deck irl at all? Also wondering if you have any specific total budget, or budget per card in mind? In looking at your list, I have a few suggestions:

• Your land and ramp count both seem kinda low. I think you could probably bump up to 35-36 lands, and add a couple more mana rocks like Boros Signet and the others on color, Talisman of Hierarchy and the others in Mardu colors. Yes, I recognize that Sword of the Animist & Bitterthorn can grab you lands, but that's typically not until turn 4 at the earliest.

• I get that they might be meta-dependent choices, but Leyline of Sanctity & Aegis of the Gods can likely be swapped out for more synergistic effects.

• I see you already have it in your Maybeboard, but Fervor can likely be swapped in over Hammer of Purphoros, mostly because it's a bit easier to cast and slightly more resistant to removal.

• If you're looking to make any expensive upgrades, I'd recommend Dolmen Gate and/or Reconnaissance as upgrades over Rune-Tail. If you're not familiar with Reconnaissance, it can give your creatures pseudo-Vigilance, and save them from unfavorable blocks. This article can explain the timing rules in a bit more detail.

• Corpse Knight could be a helpful addition to round out your suite of ETB damage you already have with Impact Tremors & Witty Roastmaster.

• Adriana, Captain of the Guard and Professional Face-Breaker can both be gas with your go-wide strategy. I love Professional Face-Breaker in my Isshin deck, as she can be used for either mana acceleration, or impulse draws. Adriana's Melee will stack with Skyhunter Strike Force, & both get doubled by Isshin on top of all that. Gets gross fast.

• Lastly, I'd say that Plumb the Forbidden, Breena, the Demagogue, Tocasia's Welcome, and Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant can all be gas for drawing in Isshin. I'm currently using all of them, except for Tocasia's Welcome, but have found all to be super helpful. Breena tends to stick around in my meta, and has gotten big enough to finish players off in my last couple games played.

I'm glad you liked the suggestions, Pheardemons. Lol yeah "Professional Face-Breaker is budget Tymna the Weaver if you squint hard enough" is my dumb joke. They have some similarities in how both reward you for spreading attacks out.

Brazen Cannonade is something I've had on my consideration lsit for my Isshin, Two Heavens as One deck, which is also very token aggro focused. I similarly had Kardur in considration at one point, but opted to leave him out of my list due to lack of blink or reanimation to reuse. Kardur does smack though with the right support. I have a Kardur deck in my meta that "plays for 2nd place", either finishes 2nd or winning because we have a hard time attacking them.

I wouldn't say that Hammer of Purphoros is a strictly better option for this deck. I'm not a fan of how Hammer is vulnerable to both artifact and enchantment removal. I personally don't want to pay 3 mana & trade a land for 1 3/3 creature at a time. For what it's worth, I did have Hammer of Purphoros in the 99 over Fervor for the Shanid, Sleepers' Scourge deck I was brewing, but mostly because it's Legendary.

War Cadence is a cool one. One of my friends suggested it to me a while ago and pointed out its political options to help someone else push attacks through on their turn.

I agree with you on Great Unclean One over Kazuul. I like that Great Unclean One has a beginning of End Step trigger, so you get the benefit immediately, whereas with Kazuul you may not get tokens. I've flip-flopped on Kazuul for my Isshin deck, but omitted it for not being proactive.

As for suggested cuts.... I find myself suggesting cuts less these days, as I think people know their own preferences and metas best. More generally speaking, I usually try to find cuts in:

• Top heavy or mana intensive cards that don't give great payouts for the activation costs involved.
• Cards that have you jumping through hoops for a pay-off. I pointed out Anger as one, but I can see why would want to keep it.
• I usually compare cards at similar CMCs as a swap, or perhaps cards that are 1-2 cmc more expensive to help bring my curve down a bit.
• Maybe you could cut a planeswalker or two, depending on if any under-perform for you.
