Maybeboard

Thoughts or comments would be much appreciated :)

Just got it into a finished (playable) state! But I am still working on the deck as it stands, but here are some ideas I have for possible sub/themes:

-Volo-ptuous: Curvy and/or attractive things- I like the wordplay but am not sure how this would factor in, maybe just as part of deck name.

-Witcher: 'Guide to Monsters' reminds me of the bestiary from the Witcher, so it could be cool to have a few cards that would fit into that idea. It also could remind me of a wrongly-confident Dandelion speaking of his adventures with Geralt or what he has heard from Geralt and acting as if he were an expert on monsters. I also found an interesting and similarly-based Witcher EDH deck, and like the idea that I could have one Witcher deck in Mardu (RWB), and one in Simic (GU), showing a bit of the versatility and range of the source material.

Some creatures that seem close to the material (bestiary or other): Djinn of Wishes (Djinn), Fleetfeather Cockatrice (Cockatrice), Mongrel Pack (Wild Dogs), Siren of the Fanged Coast (Siren), Stone-Tongue Basilisk (Basilisk, surprised at amount of Basilisk creatures), Sweet-Gum Recluse (Arachnomorph), Avenger of Zendikar/Dryad of the Ilysian Grove/Ilysian Caryatid/Carven Caryatid/Tendershoot Dryad (Leshen or Archespore), Clever Impersonator/Identity Thief/Spark Double (Doppler), End-Raze Forerunners/Decimator of the Provinces (Wild Boar), Murkfiend Liege/Diluvian Primordial (remind me of a Drowner, Horror much more), Solemn Simulacrum (Golem), Loyal Drake (Drake/Draconid), Elementals as Elementals, and Beasts as Beasts. Seems like this could be its own complete version of Volo with a focus on monsters from the Witcher world. This also goes back to the deck I mentioned, as that is more about the characters in the world, where this would be more about the monsters in the world.

-Flavor with respect to Volo: I am not sure how to rectify the whole 'guide to "Monsters"' part. Should that mean, in a perfect world, that everything in the deck is a being that would or could be classified as a 'monster', that would feasibly be part of his 'guide'? If so, what does 'monster' mean? Also if so, what kind of 'monsters would deserve to make the cut? He clearly has a flair for the dramatic, so might not put things in there like wolves or bears; just the big names like dragons, horrors, etc. Am I overthinking this? (think I know the answer to that one)

-Guide: Things having to do with learning, reading, etc.

-Diversity: Because the guide should have multiple monsters in it and because of Volo's ability, diversity should be a big thing in this deck. It will be, and again I am not sure how it should factor in, maybe just as part of name?

Possible outs if paper: Hinterland Harbor, Lithoform Engine, Unnatural Growth, Dreamroot Cascade, Breeding Pool, Spark Double, Birds of Paradise, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove, Sword of the Animist, Guardian Project, Botanical Sanctum, Pathbreaker Ibex, and Nacatl War-Pride.

Possible ins for those 12: 4 Lands, maybeboard.
