Lord Barrityl often lamented that his eldest son, Baeloth, was so wild. Young Baeloth was good at everything he tried, whether it was soldiery or minstrelsy, but he had no desire to rule the realm after his father. He took to the planes, traveling them all over, all to avoid his duty. Angels and dragons and giants, one and all he enchanted with his voice. In these travels, he gathered much treasure and much magic, but nothing could help him when he learned of his father's death.

He returned home and enriched the kingdom, but in his heart, he ever mourned his father's death...

But at last he saw Lord Barrityl once again, this time in the planes, as a Radiant Solar, and the young Lord Baeloth rejoiced, as did his father, for he saw that Lord Baeloth did honor to the Barrityl name.
