We all know Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink from his bravery during the Phyrexian invasion of the multiverse, but he wasn't always the hero we know him to be. When he was young, while fleeing a Stalking Vengeance, he dug straight underground and fell into a pool of magma. However, the Molten Primordial inhabiting the pool saw his spark of heroism and blessed him with the power to manipulate lava. He emerged from the primordial's lair unhurt and began to make his way back to the surface, where he accidentally stumbled upon the lair of the Terror of the Peaks. With his newfound power, he was able to drive off the dragon and reach the surface, where he learned fighting with some Zealous Conscripts.

When the Phyrexians invaded, he knew that he would have to fight. In order to become powerful enough to fight back, he returned to the dragon lair, now inhabited by a Balefire Dragon. In the dragon's hoard, he found exactly what he was looking for: a Sol Ring. Slipping the ring on his finger, he knew he would have enough power to fight the Phyrexians head-on. From his time in the military, he knew a Coercive Recruiter who could help back him up. Indeed, he wasn't disappointed. Orthion's army included Purphoros, God of the Forge and he rode into battle on the back of a Ancient Copper Dragon with six Balors as his wingmen. Despite his army, the endless Phyrexian horde was almost too much to bear. When things looked the bleakest, Orthion lept off his dragon charged into battle with no one but a Fanatic of Mogis by his side. With his signature lavamancy, Orthion was able to turn certain defeat into an overwhelming victory, becoming the hero of Lavabrink.

Swapped out Dreamshaper Shaman and Staff of Domination for Firbolg Flutist and Flayer of the Hatebound. Flayer is a backup Stalking Vengeance with the ability to have just as stupid turns, making it much better than the mana-intensive Staff of Domination. Dreamshaper Shaman also requires an investment of mana every turn, so its spot is now taken up by Firbolg Flutist as a better target for Orthion's ability.
