"They said it couldn't done. They said it was bad in EDH. They said I couldn't make it playable, and more powerful. They were wrong."

Burn as an archetype has been near to my heart since I first started playing magic, with a grip full of lightning bolts, shocks, and volcanic hammers. It was only natural that as I evolved as a player, I would seek to adapt my love for flinging damage about with not a care in the world to whatever format I played. And when I saw the high life totals and unbelievable deck variety of EDH, I took that as a challenge. Ashling came to be my answer.

This spicy little elemental wants nothing more than to charge and charge, filling herself with unstable pyretic energy before obliterating the board and opposing players too. The deck aims to use prison cards such as Ensnaring Bridge, Meekstone, Blood Moon, and Ward of Bones to slow its enemy's' advance while doubling up on damage to help Ashling achieve annihilation. Pro-Red from the "Swords of-" protects her from herself, while the lifelink from Loxodon Warhammer and Batterskull not only ensure you don't perish with your foes, but can serve as a massive infusion of life should you be under serious threat.
