Goal of the deck is to have a completely colorless deck, able to fully enjoy the wide variety of powerful artifacts without having to pay the associated hefty mana costs.

the commander is not a win conditions. it really is just a tutor for combos. the deck serves to provide the forgemaster with enough fuel to cast the cards i need.

win conditions:

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth infinite mana. if i have Sensei's Divining Top or Slate of Ancestry I also have infinite card draw. which means i can cast my entire deck. including triggering all my win conditions: Platinum Angel, which prevents loss due to not having cards in the deck (Elixir of Immortality is an alternative fix if the angel is removed: i discard all my useless lands then shuffle the graveyard back in the deck); Stonecoil Serpent is an infinitely powerful creature with trample, which can be given haste with the Swiftfoot Boots. Similarly, the Blightsteel Colossus can oneshot most opponents if given haste or protection from a given color with the various swords i have in the side.

Deserted Temple + Rings of Brighthearth + Scorched Ruins is another endless mana combo. if Sensei's Divining Top or Slate of Ancestry is in play, same as above happens

Darksteel Forge + Platinum Angel or Platinum Emperion not losing is nice

Darksteel Forge + Nevinyrral's Disk boardwipe for opponents only. as is All Is Dust in most games. considered Worldslayer as well for its combo with Etched Champion

Illusionist's Bracers + Kuldotha Forgemaster + Rings of Brighthearth each of the two artifacts doubles the amounts of artifacts i put into field per activation. if paired with Voltaic Key this can turn ridiculous, casting 16+ artifacts per turn from the deck. activate the forgemaster, whose ability triggers twice. copy those with the rings, then untap the commander with the key. copy the key's ability with the rings to untap itself, rinse and repeat.

Elixir of Immortality + Kuldotha Forgemaster + Myr Battlesphere infinite mana, infinite casting cards from deck

combos

Metalworker + Staff of Domination

Metalworker + Rings of Brighthearth + Voltaic Key depending on how many cards i have in hand, another potentially infinite mana combo

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth

Deserted Temple + Scorched Ruins

Clock of Omens + Gilded Lotus + Rings of Brighthearth

Nim Deathmantle + Workhorse

Rings of Brighthearth + Sensei's Divining Top (unlimited card search combo)

as from midgame on i often have an empty hand, [slate of Ancestry] is really handy. [Skullclamp], combined with my commander, ensures I get to draw at least two cards per turn.

combo notes

Have all permanents and any other source of two mana on the battlefield. Tap Basalt Monolith to generate . Spend that mana to activate Basalt Monolith's untap ability and put it on the stack. Generate two mana from any other source to pay for Rings of Brighthearth triggered ability, copying the untap ability from Basalt Monolith, and putting that copied ability on the stack. Let one untap ability resolve, and tap Basalt Monolith to generate in response to the second untap ability. Let the second untap ability resolve and tap Basalt Monolith to generate for a total of six colourless mana floating.

If you tap Scorched Ruins for four mana, activate Deserted Temple's second ability targeting Scorched Ruins, and copy the ability with Rings of Brighthearth to target Deserted Temple, you end up with both lands untapped and one mana. Repeat for infinite mana.

Rings of Brighthearth + Clock of Omens + Gilded Lotus/any other 3+ mana-making mana stone in play.

Activate Forgemaster and copy its ability, getting Myr Battlesphere and Elixir of Immortality. Tap two battlesphere tokens to untap forgemaster, and the battlesphere and one remaining token to untap the Gilded Lotus. Tap forgemaster, sacrificing two battlesphere tokens and the battlesphere, then activate Elixir in response. Copy the ability, and go grab battlesphere and elixir again. This time, after untapping lotus and forgemaster, you should have two untapped tokens left, so you can untap the lotus again. Each double-cycle, you net nine mana, and it costs you 8 to activate elixir twice and forgemaster twice.

Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + Sensei's Divining Top (unlimited card search combo) Tap Basalt Monolith for 3 Activate Basalt Monolith's untap ability for 3. Pay 2 for the Rings of Brighthearth trigger, copying the untap ability. Resolve the first of the two untap abilities, untapping Basalt Monolith. Tap Basalt Monolith for 3. Allow the second untap trigger to resolve, untapping Basalt Monolith. Repeat for infinite colorless mana. Tap Sensei's DIvining Top to place it on top of your library and draw a card. Pay 2 for the Rings of Brighthearth trigger, copying the ability. Resolve both abilities, first drawing a card and placing Sensei's Divining Top on top of your library, then drawing Sensei's Divining Top. Cast Sensei's Divining Top. Repeat for infinite card draw.
