This deck is built around getting Horobi, Death's Wail out and keeping her out. King of the Oathbreakers provides an insane amount of protection for Horobi, basically necessitating a boardwipe to kill her. With both cards out the goal is to target as many creatures as possible. Each of our opponents' creatures we target is destroyed while each of our own that we target phases out and generates us another spirit. The more we do this the more we can get damage through with our spirits while removing our opponents' blockers and combo pieces.

Some targeting cards may only work for own creatures while others such as Cauldron of Souls, Kami of the Waning Moon, and Spirit en-Dal only act as removal when Horobi is out.

Some other cool things worth pointing out are that Seizan, Perverter of Truth can be a one sided effect if we can get him to phase out before our opponents' turns, and that with Horobi out any targeting spell can act as a sac outlet for Ao, the Dawn Sky
