The "Marchesa of the Black Rose" EDH MTG deck revolves around the Nazgul and their dark, unstoppable power. This deck focuses on creating an unrelenting force of Nazgul creatures, backed by powerful artifacts and spells to ensure their survival and dominance on the battlefield. Key aspects of this deck include:

  1. Nazgul Creatures: The deck features 9 Nazgul creatures which are central to the deck's theme and strategy as well as "The ring tempts you" mechanic.

  2. Artifact Support: The deck includes several artifacts that enhance the Nazgul creatures, such as Mask of the Mimic, Talisman of Dominance, and Talisman of Indulgence

  3. Card Advantage: This deck draws cards heavily, so Reliquary Tower and Decanter of Endless Water were added to compensate for hand size. Necropotence provides amazing card draw and keeps your life lower than your opponent's should we need Dethrone. The One Ring, Pirated Copy, and Danny Pink also provide amazing card draw. Also note the Scorn-Blade Berserker and its combo with Iron Apprentice which I’ve detailed below.

  4. Spell Support: The deck features a mix of instants, sorceries, and enchantments that provide additional support for the Nazgul creatures and the overall strategy, such as An Offer You Can't Refuse, Descendants' Fury and Winged Hive Tyrant

  5. Land Base: Minas Morgul, Dark Fortress transforms Marchesa into an unblockable wraith which also gets powered up alongside the rest of the Nazgul team. High Market acts as a sacrifice outlet and Nesting Grounds help transfer counters where needed. Opal Palace helps add counters to Marchesa upon cast.

The main strategy of this deck is to quickly assemble a powerful army of Nazgul creatures and protect them with various artifacts and spells. This allows the player to maintain a strong board presence and apply constant pressure on the opponents. The deck also includes several cards that synergize well with the Nazgul theme, such as Unspeakable Symbol, Uncivil Unrest, Ferocity of the Wilds, and Herald of Secret Streams

Iron Apprentice + Scorn-Blade Berserker : do not underestimate Scorn-Blade Berserker on its own, and especially not when combined with Iron Apprentice being a very nice Backup support as these can also be triggered on your opponents turns. With Marchesa out: Summon Berserker and Backup your apprentice, sacrifice apprentice to draw, add the counter back to Berserker, sacrifice berserker to draw, they both return at end step … profit!

Overall, this deck is a formidable force on the battlefield, capturing the essence of the Nazgul and their relentless pursuit of power.
