αβ Reborn

Maverick control.

Instructions Manual

I got a Plains, Restore Balance and a Lotus Bloom in the starter hand. Play them all. Good. A Lotus Field with Flagstones of Trokair on the field? Not bad. Porphyry Nodes against some tokens/aggro list? Two copies? Lucky.

I fool around. Like I'm really into this. Surprise Shining Shoal exiling that rogue Soulscour I got way too early, playing against that supercharged red instant. Maybe a Mana Tithe against the last piece of an early combo. Or a March of Otherworldly Light for the weird trinkets. Emptying my hand, totally by accident.

Also, Soul Tithe. Curse of Silence. Silence. Lead them. Ralentize.

It rages on. The balance is resolving next turn. I got three lands. Well, I drop an Lotus Field, and down to one, and so is he next turn. Except mine yields three. Now the balance resolves, I've got some Reprieve plus Boseiju who Shelters, in case he decides to try to counter. Mind you, I could've just ramped up enough for a Fall of the Thran, but whatever.

Now what? We both own nothing, but only one of us is happy. Maybe if a Bloom made it here, I can enjoy some Barren Glory, and Ghost Quarter my last land. But it's probably going to be Entreat the Angels and company driving it home.

Also, no restore balance, or land removal isn't convenient? That's fine. Just Settle the Wreckage after you Secure the Wastes, and then again, angels.
