Curse of Silence

Enchantment — Aura Curse

Enchant player

As this enters the battlefield, choose a card name.

Spells with the chosen name enchanted player casts cost more to cast. Whenever enchanted player casts a spell with the chosen name, you may sacrifice this. If you do, draw a card.

Interesting list! It seems like you are trying to go somewhat voltron which I find odd.

Here's some cards I found kinda weird: Grafted Wargear, Cement Shoes, Vorpal Sword, Whispersilk Cloak, Goldmire Bridge, Phyresis

I don't think Magnetic Theft is needed.

Run Agent of Erebos over Curse of Oblivion

I'd suggest Brilliant Restoration over Tiana, Ship's Caretaker. My problem with Tiana is that she has to be out when your stuff is destroyed. Brilliant Restoration get everything and is a great top deck.

Cards I'd consider adding: Blind Obedience, Court of Ambition, Court of Grace, Crawlspace, Curse of Conformity, Curse of Disturbance, Curse of Fool's Wisdom, Curse of Opulence, Curse of Silence, Curse of the Nightly Hunt, Ghostly Prison, Mesa Enchantress, Monologue Tax, Torment of Scarabs, Trespasser's Curse

Have you considered Siona, Captain of the Pyleas? If you replace it with Commune With Spirits you can look seven cards deep into your library and create chump blockers. If you choose to go this route, you may want to consider replacing Paradise Druid with any combination of Karametra's Favor and Nature's Embrace. If you go for the latter you'll definitely want to consider Stirring Wildwood.

Considering Light-Paws is a Legendary Creature who helps tutor auras you can get away with removing one.

As for your sideboard, you're probably going to want to go more auras that can stymie your opponent. These can range from taxing effects(such as Curse of Silence, Detention Vortex, Oppressive Rays and Soul Tithe) to activated ability prevention(such as Bound in Gold, Intercessor's Arrest and Overwhelming Splendor) to Protection(such as Guildscorn Ward and Holy Mantle.

Thank you for reading me out. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

There are a lot of good options for the sideboard here. Because we don't talk about flight club, consider: Curse of Silence, Deafening Silence, and/or Stony Silence. The chemical burn the main character gets could be represented by Mark of Asylum maybe? haha

For the maindeck, I think Paladin Class is probably better than Authority of the Consuls for what you're trying to do but I can't say for sure if it fits your theme. A card I think does fit the theme is Spirit Bonds but I am not sure there is any room it.

Finally, if you think Magus of the Moat has a place as an honorary chapter member of flight club, it would be a very good card. Then, if you think Robert Paulson met a Baffling End, then that card could go in, too because the token can't attack through Magus of the Moat. Rest in Peace Robert Paulson...

Speaking of removal, though, it might be something to consider at least having some of in the sideboard. The only on theme cards I can think of off the top of my head are Angel of Sanctions and Journey to Nowhere but if you want removal you know where to look im sure.

smiting helx is bad, would rather have any other removal spell, even murder would be better. Curse of Silence is also jsut bad. Id rather have mana tithe or silence (play at upkeep). With this style of control deck you either need a better way react or a better way to be proactive. Take for example this deck UW. It has a control lock, and a way to interfere till that plan hits, as well as a way to protect it.

Keep in mind its 5 turns of attack without life gain to kill with your creature. plus the turns for the counters. So youll need a plan that not only stalls but protects as well.

Swebb87 on curse of silence and sublime …

Hi, is the additional cost of 2 mana to cast the spell named with Curse of Silence a triggered of activated ability that can be countered with Sublime Epiphany?

A lot of the time, this will work fine. Curse of the Nightly Hunt will function identically after you give the opponent control. However, some curses (like Curse of Silence or Curse of Opulence) reference "you," meaning the player who controls it (generally the caster) or instruct you to do something. If you give control of these curses to the opponent, they'll get the benefit as well as the drawback.

What about the promo cards? I received a promo pack of Innistrad: Midnight Hunt at my LGS and it has the card Curse of Silence in foil and with the planeswalker symbol in the lower right corner of the artwork. It's not a prerelease stamp, it's a whole other thing, right? I don't know how to notate this in my inventory. I already don't get to inventory my "The List" cards here (which is a headache), now I can't inventory these either????
