Mad Ratter

Creature — Goblin

Whenever you draw your second card each turn, create two 1/1 black Rat creature tokens.

ExpozeD I think Weaponize the Monsters can work well as a sacrifice outlet and helps to provide removal/board wipe protection (if they board wipe, you burn them as much as you can) and overall plays into the aggro/burn theme of the deck. My problem is that it does not help us draw cards to create rats with Mad Ratter which is how I use the deck. It does however let our tiny 1/1 rats trade up well and we will still have a lot of rats to sacrifice. Overall I think it could have a place and could substitute a few copies of cards like Witch's Cauldron, Bastion of Remembrance or Heartless Act. Thanks for the feed back!!

In other news, I think I might remove Improbable Alliance and Mad Ratter as they very sadly only make tokens once per turn. Maybe bring back Goblinslide or Nadir Kraken, which require paying a cost but can be done as many times as I want. Wish I could find more Young Pyromancer type cards, lol.

Hey, nice budget version, good change to Korvold from Prossh.

Tireless Tracker, Mystery Card Booster version, may be out of budget range, but in my opinion it's the best casual value creature with Korvold. Repeatable source of creating permanents that can sac (Clues) just by playing a land. Clues can be a backup repeatable draw source if Korvold is disrupted. Awakening Zone was just reprinted in Double Masters. Eldrazi spawn tokens can sac themselves for colorless mana. Dreadhorde Invasion can be another repeatable source of a token to sac to Korvold.

One drop Bloodsoaked Champion has good interaction with Korvold as a repeatable creature to sac. Attack with Korvold sac Champion and since Korvold attacked you can reanimate Champion for . Reassembling Skeleton also does this, but you can reanimate Skeleton at any time.

Orcish Lumberjack is another one drop who can sac a Forest to make three mana. This interaction is very good with Korvold and Ramunap Excavator. Viscera Seer, Caustic Caterpillar and Spore Frog are other good one drops with Korvold because they can sac themselves. Seer can be a repeatable sac outlet that can also help to setup your draws with Korvold since you can scry before you draw.

Korvold's draw ability goes well with Jolrael, Mwonvuli Recluse and Mad Ratter since on your turn if you draw at least one card with Korvold then you make a Cat or two Rats. These creatures also trigger on opponents' turns if you draw two or more cards which is very possible since can sac at instant speed, good with Clues and Eldrazi spawns.

Some budget land upgrades to consider:

Good luck with your deck.

Ephara, God of the Polis is good since once you start getting some Dino cats outs you’ll draw during an opponent’s turn then will only need to cycle 1 card to get another which will continue the cycle to the next opponent’s turn.

Mad Ratter and Improbable Alliance synergize very well with the commander since they will make tokens off of the same triggers

HansY0L0 on Korvold EDH - Gotta sac 'em all!

Hey I_TappedWrong, this weekend i had to play against some sweet tunded decks and this Korvold build was really really strong. I won 3/5 games, and in one game i had a really strong Mad Ratter and Ashnod's Altar combo to kill 2 of 3 opponents with commander damage! So thank you for that recommendation.

One thing i lacked in the games was sometimes a good sacrifice outlet, so i decided to buy 2-3 new cards to exchange some ramp.
