Hey, remember that Dr. Who episode where Davros goes to Strixhaven to play Baldur's Gate III?

What the heck even is this deck?

This deck is built around multi-format all-star Dragon's Approach. Dragon's Approach is a three-mana sorcery that deals 3 damage to each opponent, and can be put in a deck as many times as our heart desires. Seems deece, right? It's especially good with Davros, our commander. Davros rewards us (and punishes our opponents) for dealing at least 3 damage to other players. But where does the "dragon" part of Dragon's Approach come in?

Well, when you cast your fifth copy of Dragon's Approach, you get to search your library for a dragon card and put it onto the battlefield. Thus, this deck runs a few decent dragons in our colors, such as Lathliss, Dragon Queen, Hoarding Broodlord, Astral Dragon, and Ancient Silver Dragon. This turns our deck into a Dragons toolbox that spits out Daleks. Magic makes total and complete sense.

But what about the fun synergies?

Oh, you better believe that this deck has a lot of weird synergistic cards. Chandra's Incinerator redirects damage towards creatures. Neheb, the Eternal turns damage into . Exterminate! turns the Daleks that our commander spits out into removal. Tor Wauki the Younger gains us life and shocks whatever we want and makes Approach deal 4 damage instead of 3. Niv-Mizzet, Parun makes our Dragon's Approach into card draw and dings our opponents if they choose to let us draw a card with Davros. Wound Reflection and City on Fire are good for rather obvious reasons. My personal favorite synergy piece has to be Pain Magnification, which turns Dragon's Approach into a discard spell.

We also have a few cards that take full advantage of just how many Approaches we run. Harness the Storm lets us Dragon's Approach twice (seems deece). Pyromancer Ascension does the same thing but does weird timing things, letting us keep an Approach in the yard when we tutor. Thrumming Stone is a silly, silly, card, easily getting us five or more Approaches in a single turn.

What cards do I fetch with Approach?

There are quite a few dragons that you can fetch up once you cast Dragon's Approach enough times. Here are some of the best ones:

So yeah, that's the deck. It's a stupid janky valuepile but it's a fun stupid janky valuepile. Please upvote if you enjoyed, leave a comment if you have a suggestion or question, check out my other decks if you have the time, and have a great day!

Shock7123 suggested Goldspan Dragon, which I put in for City on Fire. City on Fire is a win more card, whereas Goldspan Dragon ramps hard and is a good midgame play.
