LAST UPDATE: 11/05/2024

When I saw Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, I knew I had to build a Commander deck based on replaying it almost every turn. Plus, it was a great opportunity for me to explore the color combination which was outside of my typical golgari approach.
The idea behind this deck was to rapidly be able to make all of my opponents discard their hand, mainly with playing/reanimating Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger, but also with asymetrical cards like Unnerve and Tasigur's Cruelty. Support cards like Liliana's Caress, Raiders' Wake, Painful Quandary and Megrim drain our opponents for each sacrifice trigger.
I also included Worldgorger Dragon in the deck since I already had Animate Dead as a wincon. However, I didn't include any tutors in the deck as it wasn't the purpose I wanted of the deck to just fetch the combo. Enjoy.
1- Use asymetrical discard triggers to rapidly empty my opponents hands to gain advantage
2- Reanimate Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger as many times as possible in early turns to fit objective ''1''
3- Punish my opponents for discarding cards and/or having no cards in hands
4- HaveWorldgorger Dragon's infinite combo as possible wincon, without optimizing it's usage with tutors
1. Average Mulligans Required: 0,44
2. Turn Strategy Online: 4,67
3. Turn of Land Miss: 7,56
4. Turn Hand Emptied: 8,56
5. Average Kroxa triggers by turn 6: 2,67
6. Average opponent discard triggers by turn 6: 4,00
Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger + Animate Dead + Worldgorger Dragon
Result: Infinite mana, infinite Kroxa ETB triggers, infinite Kroxa casts. This is an infiniate loop unless there is another target for Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead or a way to remove it.
Set Up: Worldgorger Dragon in graveyard. Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead in hand. available. Kroxa on the battlefield for infinite ETB triggers or in the CZ to cast infinite times.
Steps:
1.Cast Animate Dead/Dance of the Dead for , targeting Worldgorger Dragon in your graveyard
2.Worldgorger Dragon enters the battlefield, exiling all other permanents you control
3.Animate Dead triggers, sacrificing Worldgorger Dragon
4.All permanents exiled with Worldgorger Dragon enter the battlefield - Kroxa triggers go on the stack
5.Target Worldgorger Dragon with Animate Dead
6.Maintaining priority, tap all lands you control
7.Let the triggers resolve
Repeat steps 2-7.
OPENING HAND
Ideally have a hand that has 3 lands, a 2 CMC or less creature and a reanimator spell for Kroxa.
GENERAL PACING OF DECK
This type of ''oppressive'' deck isn't for everyone. The idea is to force several Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger triggers in the first few turns to gain significant cards in hand advantage over our opponents and somewhat ''stalemate'' the game. Then play enablers cards to accentuate damage.
