Said on The Pain of …...
#1Hi
It's been a long time. I was wondering where the pauper format was (since it seems to evolve very fast) and what you were up to ...(and also grumbling about the "pauper desert" in my city)...
That's when I stumbled on your last video and found out you were in the same situation... No paper pauper!
As you might know "the professor" made a series of videos on the Pauper format some time ago. Maybe you could reach to him to do gameplay vids with more updated lists. This would give the format (and you obviously) more visibility.
That being said, let's get back to the deck. Since you got rid of the creatures, you might consider collapsing borders, aether flash, burning sands and forbidden orchard.
Burning sands will double punish when your opponent sacrifices a creature. (Maybe too mean)
Collapsing borders will punish the two-colors and monocolor decks but also the others when they sacrifice the wrong lands to burning sands. It is even better with tainted remedy out.
I consider Mindcrank (and mill) more like a pre-removal effect. (There it goes your jeskas will, akromas vengeance, counterspells...). You have so many ways to make your opponents lose life. It will trigger a lot. And it is a 2cmc.
Forbidden orchard, well... it gives your opponents fodder for your traps.
