Build around cards

I'm becoming less interested in Modern/Pioneer and want to get into Pauper. What are some build around or generally interesting cards (not necessarily good) in the format that I can build my first deck around.

Try something fun like Sakura-Tribe Elder. throw in Living Plane and maybe Adventuring Gear

Tortured Existence is the ultimate pauper build-around card. You can build any colors of deck around it.
Barring the established decks, there are tons of fun to be had:
Pestilence is very fun to build around.
heck, I have even made a deck around Erratic Explosion.
Keep Watch + Rites of Initiation + tokens.
Madness decks with something like Arrogant Wurm.

Pestilence just happens to be one of m y favorite cards, Boza, so thank you for mentioning it. I must say that mono-white token decks around Raise the Alarm and other similar cards(Charge decks) are always fun.

I had WU deck for a second built around Edge of the Divinity, Nightsky Mimic, and Esper Stormblade. There were both Orzhov Value and "8-Blade" decks around at the time, but I thought the hybrid symbols were a really cool way to cheat on Pauper's awful mana.

eyes2sky has a billion pauper decks you could look at. One of the more interesting ones I've seen is built around Spreading Algae, Contaminated Ground and other land tax cards.

Bloodbriar has spawned so many decks...there is a lot of support for sacrifice themes in Pauper.

Impact Tremors and Battle Screech. It's a deck I have been toying with for Pauper now my self.
