Sideboard

Maybeboard

Saw a list that played around with a Geralf, the Fleshwright and Rambling Possum synergy. The idea being that with Possum in play, you cast a cheap creature to saddle it, and then the Possum bounces it back to hand on the attack. You can recast the cheap creature which triggers Geralf.

I thought maybe I can wedge that into a green blue Proft's Eidetic Memory shell I had played with a while ago, and keep the double Forensic Researcher infinite combo package (mainly with Deeproot Pilgrimage).

That shell was running Ingenious Prodigy and Elusive Otter as cheap Simic creatures. But Jadelight Spelunker fits in too. They all add value if you have a bounce outlet for them so you can recast them.

Geralf/Possum gives a more direct punchthrough angle the deck didn't really have before. It can go one-turn infinite-wide with the Researcher/Pilgrimage combo. It can slowly value-pump creatures with the Memory. The Otter or the Prodigy with the Mindlink Mech can do some cute evasion things. Teferi, Temporal Pilgrim can carve out a win through planeswalker abilities. There's even a bit of room to sequence Invasion of Arcavios   into a Doppelgang recursion (with some emergency tools in the sideboard if needed).

It's weird there are so many separated mini-combos. You'd think everything becomes a mess when you only draw different pieces of different combos. But the cross cards do tend to work with each other. Spelunker is another Merfolk for Pilgrimage. Possum getting Memory counters helps it survive more attack phases. Stuff like that.

There are some protection cards too. Repulsive Mutation, Lost in the Maze, Vodalian Hexcatcher, even Saryth, the Viper's Fang.
