The way this list deviates from other Purphoros lists is we're trying to spend 0 mana on a creature, or get the mana refunded on resolution like with Skirk Prospector. If it doesn't cost 0, it has to bring awesome utility like with Insolent Neonate or trigger Purphoros more than one time, cards like Gleeful Demolition or Empty the Warrens. Sometimes we use Creatures to remove threats, like with Stingscourger, but this is meta dependent, the card is only in the deck to solve reds problem of dealing with high toughness creatures.

This deck has one infinite in it to my knowledge. Runaway Steamkin + Grinning Ignus + 6 mana and Purphoros on the field will end the game. There are 3 tutors for them. Most of the time, unless staxed out, the deck will just kill everyone with pings.

If you are staxed out and can't cast very many spells, Norin the Wary is almost always the card to play, as he'll end the game naturally. Norin, when you play him, should trigger twice, as it's very easy for this deck to play him and then trigger him again on your end step with a 0 cost creature. This will total up to 10 damage each turn rotation in a standard game of magic and then up to 8 every turn rotation there after, assuming people aren't playing badly and for whatever reason not casting spells.

Some of these cards are in here because of my local meta using Rule of Law effects, Ghost-Lit Raider and Rampaging War Mammoth being some of them.

If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them.

Some things to note :

X is almost always 0 on these creatures unless : We can use any secondary effects to close out the game. Walking Ballista can finish off players in a pinch, for example.

If Skullclamp is in your hand, you've probably won, all the X creatures can be played for very low mana costs and slingshot you into a win.

Enter the battlefield effects still trigger, but their order changes. Simply put, if you play Walking Ballista for 0, he will die as a state based action, and then the ETB trigger from Purphoros goes off.

Most of your mana will always, always be used to trigger card draw. Very often our interaction gets discarded unless it's needed right then and there.
