Thanks y'all! This is officially the #1 Jalira, Master Polymorphist deck on TappedOut. (That isn't actually that hard to do, because very few people play this commander, but I'll take it)

The way I usually describe this deck to people who've never seen it before is that it's purely a control deck, but with a side of Blightsteel Colossus. Everybody needs a wincon, right?

Basically, the strategy is to get Jalira, Master Polymorphist's ability to sacrifice a small, insignificant token. The token dies, and is replaced with Blightsteel Colossus.

In the meantime, say you can't get your Jalira to last through a turn cycle. or everyone mysteriously turns on you. That's the reason there are so many counterspells and ways to bug your opponents. Someone threatening you? Windmill slam a River's Rebuke.

My style of play usually means that I wait until some extremely late turn to get my blightsteel, when I know I can keep it safe, but it doesn't have to work that way. Often, when borrowing this deck, people get a turn 6 or 7 blightsteel, and it works just as well when it's played faster than how I do it.

Bonus fun: Isochron Scepter exiling Mystical Tutor with 7 mana: infinite turns with Nexus of Fate.
