This Ramos deck started as a charm-slinger, but has slowly evolved into something more inline with the Simic 5c cube archetype. The core of the deck sits with cards like Bring to Light and Unexpected Results, getting 2 sets of triggers off Ramos. Might Bring to Light into a Maelstrom Archangel for 7 counters, and even more free value next turn. Add in some counter duplicators, and spell duplicators and the deck can explode.

Guided Passage was one of the spirit cards in the deck that led to some ruthless but greedy decisions in deckbuilding, aiming for no easy choices for the target opponent. I've since swapped it out for Expansion / Explosion as a second instant speed X draw alongside Sphinx's Revelation. That effect is critical in the deck, both as a method to refill the hand and as a hedge for when Ramos with 5+ counters is removed during an opponents turn.

There are some alternate win-con shenanigans with Mayeal's Aria and Door to Nothingness, although the Door mostly serves as a giant flashing neon "Don't touch the dragon" button so long as you've got 5 or more counters.

The mana-base... sorry you had to see that. Although there is that occasional draw with 3 bounce lands, a forest, and Burgeoning and your opponents are humbled before the might of the greatest 5C mana-base ever witnessed (well, relative to budget). Rest of the time, get your 'woe is me, budget 5c is hard' face ready and hope the table looks elsewhere for a few turns.
