One of the original casual EDH decks I built themed around Nintendo game Franchises for my playgroup to use during our weekly monthly get together. Super Mario has a few legendary creatures representing major players in the game and then is built around a mix of Themes primarily saproling token generation to represent the mushroom kingdom and +1 counters for powering up. A lot of the cards were chosen more for theme than function but the deck does play well at a casual power level with the other decks.

Character breakdown: - Surrak Dragonclaw (commander) and Yasova Dragonclaw (Mario and Luigi) - Jalira, Master Polymorphist (princess peach) - Grumgully, the Generous (Toad) - Ghalta, Primal Hunger (Yoshi) - Etali, Primal Storm (Bowser) - Ezuri, Claw of Progress (Kamek) - Zara, Renegade Recruiter (Nabit)

Theme breakdown: - Saproling/Fungus card (mushroom kingdom) = Tendershoot Dryad, Mycoloth - +1 counter (power up mushroom/growth) = vigor, immaculate magistrate, death's presence - Land destruction (breaking bricks) = dwarven miner (plus he looks like mario), stingmoggie

Artifact/equipment/Spells (power ups) = Swiftfoot boots, hammer of purphoros, Fireball, Impact Tremors (jumping on enemies), Burning Anger (throwing a fireball), Tanuki Transplanter (Tanuki Suit), Triassic Egg (Yoshi egg), Gilded Lotus (fire flower), Bootlegger's Stash (lands are like bricks, tap lands get coins)
