Big flying creatures, card draw/scry, and control

I dont usually do the creature strategy and haven't made many edh decks so I'm having some trouble knowing what to trim out

Should I just slim down each category, or maybe remove one altogether? Does it make sense to get rid of control and just go for swinging? Are the low drop creatures even worth running, or should I stick to all fatties? How much card draw is too much card draw? Is draining whelk just bad or does it make sense to try to get as many of my spell effects tacked onto flying creatures as possible?
