Maybeboard

Noble, indeed, is the aim of this deck. Victory through hexproof, the bane of witches and their ilk. Just white magic, like beneficial boons to my humble menagerie, through the uplifting enchantments of benevolent Selesnya.

The noble, itself, is the ever-popular Kor Spiritdancer who has complete synergy with this deck. Fleecemane Lion lost out, even though he starts out as a 3/3 for 2, which is always good, and later becomes hexproof and indestructible. The other competition for the slot was from Witchstalker and Eidolon of Countless Battles. The former is enticing for its adherence to my hexproof theme and hate towards blue control and dimir-type discard/mill and the latter garners attention for its ability to function as a fifth, on-call Ethereal Armor that benefits from creatures as well as auras.

The Uncommons are 4 copies of Flickering Ward. The idea is that I can grant protection of my choosing to my noble, while also allowing me to bounce the enchantment for extra draw, should I run out of cards. Alternatively, it can be bounced to change protection, should I be facing a multicolor deck. These, too, are not set in stone, and I can be persuaded to alter my choices.

The heavy hitters within my common rabble is easily identified as those majestic Aura Gnarlids, although the elves are more often than not the targets of my enhancements.

This deck is a Noble-ified version of a deck I actually own -- Aura Gnarlids are Satan's Pugs
