Sideboard

This deck is based around creating card advantage with Mercurial Spelldancer's ability, which turns our extremely efficient removal, discard, and card draw spells into tempo powerhouses by double casting them with ease.

A notable example of her card advantage engine at work is when paired with the hyper-efficient Morsel Theft which is enabled by nearly our entire creature base. Whenever Mercurial Spelldancer is able to copy a spell, we'll know the prowl condition has already been met and Morsel Theft can be copied, prowl effect and all, giving us a 12-point life swing and drawing us two cards in the process. Talk about an effective Lightning Helix!

Into the Story is also a great finisher for this deck, as it's easily enabled by our discard spells, counters, and Thieves' Guild Enforcers, which means Morsel Theft isn't even our best spell to copy with Mercurial Spelldancer.

Our Thieves' Guild Enforcer works out to essentially be Delver of Secrets   only more consistently enabled in the modern metagame alongside our suite of rogues, removal, and counterspells. In turn, they enable our Drown in the Loch, Into the Story, and Nighthawk Scavenger.
