This deck is all-in on Mayael the Anima and her incredible ability to cheat in huge creatures from the deck at instant speed. Mayael's steady stream of card advantage, board presence, and utility effects is incredibly powerful, so the deck tries to get her ability going as quickly as possible and keep it going for as long as possible. The deck's mana is geared towards activating Mayael's ability on turn 4. Curving Sol Ring , Radha, Heir to Keld , Priest of Titania , Joraga Treespeaker , Devoted Druid , Scorned Villager  , or the mighty Bloom Tender into Mayael the Anima into something like a turn 4 Iona, Shield of Emeria or Terastodon can often secure me fast wins or at least ensure that nobody else is able to run away with the game. The reliance of mana elves and general commitment to the board means that the deck is extra vulnerable to sweepers, which means that protection cards like Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Dauntless Escort are very valuable. My choices of high-power creatures to cheat into play with Mayael in this deck are more focused on utility than beatdown capabilities. Many of my fatties have spot removal abilities to keep my opponents in check, and the ones that don't usually work to counteract certain cards or strategies, like Platinum Emperion which keeps me safe from Exsanguinate and burn combos or Blazing Archon which keeps me safe from creature beatdown or or Hellkite Tyrant which is obviously a huge play against artifact-heavy decks. Another element of protection is Ghostway and Eerie Interlude , which stop even the Cyclonic Rifts and Toxic Deluges that your protection creatures can't handle. These two also have the benefit of reusing your many ETB effects including Eternal Witness and Greenwarden of Murasa which let you continuously Ghostway every turn you have 3 mana. With Naya's efficient answers to any type of permanent, the deck gets to play the control role a surprising amount of the time, holding up mana and answering anything that could end the game or threaten the board.
