The death priest Mazirek occupies a high position in the rigid caste system of the insectile Kraul of Ravnica. He leads the buzzing chants of the Kraul rites, invoking the essence of decay to keep the great wheel of life and death turning.

When you think Mazirek, what do you think? Voltron? Stax? Tokens? Well, how about all of the above? This deck does just that, it can produce Tokens likes there's no tomorrow, it can sac-tax your opponents until they have nothing but 2 lands, and it can pump Mazi to be one of the biggest, toughest bugs around. This deck can function with or without Mazirek in play, but just looks more badass with him in play, as a giant 1000/1000 flyer is scary. The main goal of the deck is to try and get Mazirek out as early as possible (Often turn 2-3) and make the most out of sac triggers, like cracking fetchlands or sacrificing tokens to trigger Dictate of Erebos . This deck can be played incredibly oppressive, in fact, it can be so oppressive you make your opponents scoop out of rage. Combo's like Archfiend of Depravity + Living Plane will reduce your opponents board to nothing.
