Ahhh elves. When I first looked at pauper elf lists i saw 30+ creatures and mono green, vomited in my mouth a little, and moved on to decks with a little more light behind the eyes. But after seeing some lists splashing blue for Distant Melody it caught my interest enough to futz around with a list myself. This deck honestly plays more like a COMBO deck than a weenie deck with long ears and legs.

Deck Tech:

Elves:
name says it all, these cards qualifications include: 1) being an elf -> ie. Llanowar Elves, Jaspera Sentinel, Elvish Vanguard, Timberwatch Elf, etc

Cheating:
This deck can make some crazy mana. Birchlore Rangers + Nettle Sentinel can be combined really effectively as Nettle Sentinel can tap a ridiculous number of times in a turn(it should be noted that Birchlore Rangers ability does not care about summoning sickness). I like to think of each Nettle Sentinel as 1/2 a mana off all my elves(Lys Alana Huntmaster works similar making a token that can tap for 1/2 a mana on each elf). Priest of Titania obviously makes degenerate amounts of mana but Quirion Ranger can untap her to double dip(and returning the land to hand is often your land drop for the turn with only 12 forests lol)

Draw:
Since we have a lifetime discount at Elfs-R-Us, having a healthy supply of tall lanky bois is an important step in the gameplan. Winding Way, Lead the Stampede (and You Meet in a Tavern if ur feelin spicy) can all take advantage of the ratio of creatures in the deck and Distant Melody can draw anywhere from 5 to 25 cards and often games ending are proceeded by a Distant Melody that you drew off of a Distant Melody

Ending the Game:
Our typical way to kill the opponent in a combo-y fashion is with Tuktuk Rubblefort. Our giant elven army having haste and swinging with ~100 elves with a couple Timberwatch Elf's waiting back to buff an unblocked 1/1 to hell and back. Another great option that this list has in the sb for certain matchups is Harsh Sustenance as it cuts the bs and just nukes the enemy but i miss the aura haste Tuktuk Rubblefort gives that can help the engine keep churning mid combo by being able to play out any drawn Priest of Titania's and immediately tap them for a bunch of mana. One important note is how fast this deck can start to look to combo out. I would recommend getting some solitaire reps in to get a feel for how early you can "go for it" so to speak. generally if you draw well and the opponent isn't really interacting the deck can go off around turn 4 but certain factors can slow it down or speed it up a turn or two. Also the deck does sometimes just run out like a weenie deck and beats down the opponent w nothing flashy at all.

as always any feedback, ideas, or suggestions are appreciated and if you enjoyed this deck feel free to check out my other pauper decks --> jonjonhholt
