Match Record (13-2)

Match 1:

Jori En vs Nahirir vs Ghoulcaller

First Update

At the suggestion of a YouTube viewer, I have added in Long-Term Plans. I chose to swap out Dualcaster Mage for this card because Dualcaster was a flex spot, but Plans gives the deck greater inevitability. Moreover, at Madneko's suggestion, I have swapped Ignite Memories with Mind's Desire to get a more secure Storm win-condition. Lastly, I added in some better mana fixing to hopefully reduce the number of times that I end up with only red mana...

After discussing the deck with a friend, I have now made several edits to the deck, and I'm quite pleased with where it is. New deck tech to come soon.

Match 2:

Jori En vs Animar vs Yasova

I was lucky in that I was able to combo out one turn before my opponents could with Jori En, Ruin Diver + Elemental Mastery + Intruder Alarm + Impact Tremors.

Match 3:

Jori En vs Rune-Tail vs Ezuri, Claw of Progress

Match 4:

Jori En vs Azami vs Karador vs Grand Arbiter

Match 5:

Jori En vs Purphoros vs Ruhan

Match 6:

Jori En vs Purphoros vs Grenzo

This game was closer as my friend, the pilot of the Purphoros deck, was producing tokens and whittling down our life totals while I was a little stuck on mana in the early stages. Eventually, however, Outpost Siege got me into a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker to combo with my opening hand Pestermite and an Impact Tremors I had drawn into.

Updates

Added in Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir in place of Wing Splicer, Goblin Matron in place of Hammer of Purphoros, and Stroke of Genius in place of Mind's Desire.

Match 7:

Jori En vs Sliver Hivelord vs Selvala vs Trostani

While this one was close, I was unable to get the combo out as soon as I needed to because the Hivelord achieved infinite mana a turn before I could Mizzix my entire grave thanks to a Vorinclex disallowing me to untap mana.

Updates

I replaced Jace, the Living Guildpact with Faerie Harbinger to help find both Cloud of Faeries and Pestermite with greater reliability and speed. Farewell, Jace.

Match 8:

Jori En vs Ulasht vs Horobi

This game went by quickly as I had an early top deck Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and a Faerie Harbinger to pick up Pestermite with both Force of Will and Pact of Negation in hand. I won on either Turn 6 or Turn 7.

Match 9:

Jori En vs Kaalia vs Animar

This game was a bit longer. I had an opening hand Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker with some other high costed spells, but I kept for Kiki. Fortunately, I was able to control the board state with Mogg Infestation and Cyclonic Rift while using Great Whale + Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker for extra mana to search for combo pieces. I drew into a Zealous Conscripts off an Impulse and I won with both of my opponents tapped out. The win occurred somewhere around turn 15, I would say.

Jori En vs Mikhaeus vs Damia

Jori En vs Kozilek vs Riku

Update

I replaced Telepathy with Quicken because while knowing what other people have in hand is useful, I like the idea of drawing a card, playing Mogg Infestation during a player's attack step, getting another draw trigger off of Jori En. It seems like a more versatile card in this deck that wants to cycle through itself as quickly as possible.

Jori En vs Mikhaeus vs Kalemne

Match 13: Jori En v Kozilek

Essentially, he was about to start exiling my permanents with a Bane of Bala Ged, but I played a Mogg Infestation before he could start doing so. I assembled a next turn infinite mana loop with Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake to use Commune with Lava on myself to combo out.

Match 14: Jori En v Omnath

A timely Pact of Negation to counter his Omnath gave me some tempo in the early stages of the game until I could Reality Shift it the next time it came out. I assembled Elemental Mastery + Intruder Alarm the turn before he began pinging all my creatures with his Elemental tokens.
