Sideboard

Maybeboard

A modern boros take on Legacy Death & Taxes, we need to replace Recruiter of the Guard with Imperial Recruiter.

Archon of Emeria: Active hate just generally slowing down the game. The one spell a turn restriction also stops cascade

Flickerwisp: Retrigger our ETB abilities with the ability to bounce other players things - either killing tokens or resetting counters

Giant Killer: A surprise (and fetchable) way to kill a big threat, it also hits the board and can tap down another threat

Giver of Runes: Protection for our poor creatures.

Imperial Recruiter: Fetching of creatures allows for a bit of a toolbox. It is the reason all the creatures in this deck are chosen - they are mostly fetchable

Lion Sash: A nice piece of equipment and creature attached to spot graveyard hate

Magus of the Moon: There's enough non-basics that this being main deck works. We have plains to be fetched so we still get white.

Phyrexian Revoker: Shuts down planeswalkers. Shuts down artifacts. Shuts down Yawg. Very versatile, ever fetchable.

Skyclave Apparition: Exiles almost anything while they get a small vanilla creature back later at best.

Solitude: flash, evoke-able, swords to plowshares on a stick. sadly can't be fetched with recruiter.

Stoneforge Mystic: Gets all of out lovely equipment and living weapons and throws them on the battlefield

Thalia, Guardian of Thraben: The one, the only - Thorn in everyone's side. Taxes all non creature spells making everything that much slower

Aether Vial: Necessary to see the deck at full strength, this powers out all of our creatures. It ignores counterspell, chalice, and anything else that may seem to disrupt our game

Batterskull: The classic. 4/4 vigilance and lifelink. Fetchable and put into play with Stoneforge Mystic

Kaldra Compleat: The new living weapon on the block but oh boy.... 5/5 haste, trample, first strike and indestructible. Fetchable and put into play with Stoneforge Mystic

Sword of Fire and Ice: A must block. If it isn't blocked this can do damage to a player or simply a chump creature that didn't block. It also draws a card and offers offers protection.

Unlicensed Hearse: Graveyard hate in the main, this can pack a punch even if the deck is not graveyard focused.

Ephemerate: Can save creatures being targeted, can trigger etb all over again

March of Otherworldly Light: Hits all sorts of things. Instant speed. Can skip mana restrictions.

Arid Mesa, Marsh Flats, && Windswept Heath: Makes sure we get both colors we need.

Eiganjo, Seat of the Empire: gives us some uncounterable creature removal if needed.

Mishra's Factory: A little aggro, a guaranteed creature. Can even equip something for just a turn if necessary.

Basic Mountain: Sometimes you just need to fetch red and can't afford a foundry

Basic Plains: Supports post Magus of the Moon

Rugged Prairie: Unfetchable but can do a flexible job of whatever color needs to be made.

Sacred Foundry: Red and White is what we need. The perfect fetch target.

Sunbaked Canyon: RW and can draw cards. Worth the pain.

Silent Clearing: Provides W and can draw cards. Worth the pain. (and I only have the one Sunbaked Canyon ^^

Slayers' Stronghold: A cheap boost for our creatures when we have extra mana lying around.

Burrenton Forge-Tender: Pro red creature that can take on equipment when necessary, but it's main draw is the sacrifice that can just shut Fury down completely.

Drannith Magistrate: vs graveyard, cascade, red card cheat (March of Reckless Joy, Light Up the Stage, etc), "cast from top of the library" effects. 1 more in the side

Kataki, War's Wage: In against anything relying on artifacts. The upkeep costs can be crushing

Magus of the Moon: Anything relying too much on non-basics. 3 more so we can make sure to hit the Magus drop on turn 3 when needed

Phyrexian Revoker: Shuts down planeswalkers. Shuts down artifacts. Shuts down Yawg. Very versatile, ever fetchable.

Rest in Peace: Graveyard destruction. As an enchantment it can be hard to get rid of.

Sanctifier en-Vec: Protection from && with built in graveyard hate.

Yorion, Sky Nomad: Oh yorion, how good you are when we remember you are there ^^ Blink everything triggering new ETB, or simply a good late game flying body
These are some cards that have been back and forth in the deck - things are always being reevaluated.

Fateful Absence: To just flat destroy a planeswalker, its worth 2 mana and a clue. Also, I suppose destroying creatures is nice. I keep going back and forth between this and Phyrexian Revoker. This is more final. Revoker is far more versatile but can be killed

Brutal Cathar  : Exile one, maybe more creatures. Ward makes it harder to remove.

Emeria, Shattered Skyclave  : May take 3 life to come into play untapped, but it can also be pitched to Solitude or March of Otherworldly Light due to the flip side Emeria's Call  . And I suppose late game a couple of angels couldn't hurt either. This came out of the deck since it really almost always feels like a bolt land. We'll see how it goes

Sanctum Prelate: Some sort of fetchable creature chalice of the void.

Skyclave Apparition: Exiles almost anything while they get a small vanilla creature back later at best
