This deck is of the classic "get ahead, stay ahead" blue tempo philosophy. Play a cheap creature, then maintain your advantage by taxing mana and with counterspells. There are several curiosity effects that can help maintain advantage, along with a suite of protection creatures. These protection creatures trade up on mana for interaction and avoid losing the investment of a curious creature.

Watchlist: Force Spike , Dauntless Bodyguard , Recruiter of the Guard ; I'm also considering a Stoneforge Mystic package, which would also include a points update for Umezawa's Jitte and maybe Open the Armory which can then also get curiosities or Fall from Favor or Bind the Monster .
