Introduction to the deck

This is my take on how I would make Baba Lysaga, Night Witch most able to reliably trigger on my turn as well as on each opponents turn. Alternatively, I have tried to include enough untap shenanigans that I would be able to absorb a few attacks as well as potentially trigger my commander multiple times on my turn to claw back life or start the value engine.

'On theme'

Other than a few utility creatures which I will speak about in more detail later, I have tried to make my creature base consist of enchantment creatures. In addition, I have tried to keep the mana cost down so that I can be on curve to have creatures like Fang of Shigeki and Brain Maggot out by the time my commander hits the field. Even though Brain Maggot is designed to hit the bin, by playing it I will be able to see the hand of an opponent and could even consider keeping the maggot on the field to prevent combos for that opponent. It is important that I have enchantment creatures in the deck, and that they make up the bulk of the creature base because they will be forming two of the three card types that I will be sacrificing to Baba Lysaga, Night Witch.

The final part of the puzzle will be lands. Along with my enchantment creatures I will be sacrificing a land card. Due to this, I make sure that I am running cards like Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Oracle of Mul Daya, all of whom will help me to play the additional lands I will be drawing into when utilising Baba Lysaga, Night Witch tap ability. To help keep the value engine online, I am also running cards that I would see as staples in any good landfall deck like Wayward Swordtooth and Ramunap Excavator alongside the aforementioned additional land-drop enablers. Playing lands from my graveyard is important, and World Shaper helps to empty the graveyard and ensure Baba Lysaga, Night Witch triggers a plenty. these non-enchantment creatures are played for their utility in enabling my gameplan, though without them being additional card types, cards like Biotransference will help to make them potential targets in triggering my commander's ability. I also love the fact that with Biotransference in play, sacrificing one creature will trigger Baba Lysaga, Night Witch ability.

Utility and support.

Untap cards like Instill Engery, Ornamental Courage, Emerald Charm and the like will help me to trigger Baba Lysaga, Night Witch as well as offer a possible combat trick to put a blocker up if relevant. These cards are pretty cheap, which is important both for the mana curve and because this is a budget deck. At three mana I have access to Thousand-Year Elixir which is a powerful tool in supporting Baba Lysaga, Night Witch. Cards like Bloodchief Ascention teamed with Mindcrank represent an alternative win condition for this deck and though I do not currently run them, given the amount of ramp I am able to generate, Torment of Hailfire and other suck cards will be able to end the game. Dictate of Erebos represents a fantastic utility card in this deck, ensuring that opponents board state does not get too out of hand, given the fact I will be removing my own creatures on a regular basis.

Conclusions

This is a budget deck and it is fun to play. I know there are cards such as Crucible of Worlds and Grave Pact that I could run, and maybe will in time. but any budget suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. I believe I have run with a theme that is worth an upvote here. I have a clear strategy that I am running with and this is why I am not merely spamming tokens of any kind to trigger Baba Lysaga, Night Witch but am consistently sacrificing land and a creature.
