Golos

The original concept of this deck arose when I discovered the incredible mana producing capabilities of Planar Birth + Squandered Resources . After some research finding some similar cards, I then quickly decided on Golos, Tireless Pilgrim as the commander. Using effects like Faith's Reward and other effects that untap lands (i.e. Rude Awakening) each greatly fuel a strong "lands matter" build and guarantee Golos triggers, which in turn flip into more and more "hits", churning through our deck for a win.

"Turnless" Turns

Similar to extra turn spells, each aforementioned "hit" guarantees at least one more Golos activation, which will almost always either ramp or get another "hit" to keep moving. Additionally, there are several recursion spells like Noxious Revival and Tutors such as Mystical Tutor, both of which guarantee more hits, effectively increasing the hit count.

Winning the game

If the gameplan is going correctly, you will have generated illegal value from a single tremendous turn, adding many cards to your arsenal. Notable combos include:

*Avenger of Zendikar + Need for Speed or Need for Speed + Titania, Protector of Argoth for a horde of gigantic creatures with Haste.

*Dryad of the Ilysian Grove + Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle .

*Demonic Tutor + Underworld Breach becomes an insane combo finder once you have a few cards in graveyard. Repeatedly cast Demonic Tutor, exiling the several used ramp cards in grave. You can also sacrifice lands to fuel any necessary Escape cost; you won't need them if you're winning.

Notable Ommisions

*The Gitrog Monster, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, etc. N Please note, these are not "may" triggers. If the deck is churning like intended, the last thing you'd want to do is lose the game by having too many lands enter, or being forced not to go any further due to potential mill. You could build the deck to win using these methods potentially with Laboratory Maniac effects, but I'm choosing not to.

*Actual extra turn cards: Golos is the perfect commander for this deck, because every part of him fuels a "lands matter" strategy; his ETB trigger, and his activation for more ramp. By opting out of effects like Temporal Manipulation which guarantee Golos activations, I can instead use cards that give the best of BOTH worlds, guaranteeing activations AND fueling the lands strategy.
