Formerly Titled "Moon Prism Power!"

I won an Oona, Queen of the Fae at a local tournament, and wanted to find a mono-blue deck she'd be good in. After browsing tapped out, I loved the idea of cbott2's deck, The Mill of the Moonfolk. I've had some moonfolk sitting around for a while, but couldn't find a use for them, so this looked like fun, using the moonfolk to combo with Hedron Crab - unfortunately, the moonfolk I ended up choosing weren't any of the ones I already have. I did already have a playset of Walking Atlas that had not been helpful in any deck I tried them in. I think this deck will be fun to play because it can win by mill, by aggro, or by flying. I foresee that I may have problems in the early game protecting myself, but I'll have to wait until I play the deck against others to see how it works. I plan to keep it very budget, so keep that in mind if suggesting cards (plus I already own about half).

Hedron Crab: This is the centerpiece of the deck, and also the single largest chunk of the price. Mill your friends by dropping lots of lands each turn.

Jace's Erasure: turns all card draw into mill for your opponents.

Keening Stone: This is a pretty brutal artifact - high CMC & activation cost, but worth it. Brutal if activated after Traumatize.

Oona, Queen of the Fae: (Wizard) Mill their stuff into exile, and get lots of little fliers - and a great mana sink.

Traumatize: Get a huge chunk of their library out of your way in one fell swoop.

Khalni Gem: Tap 4, return 2, and get two more mana that turn. Not the best, but not the worst, either. Lots of Mana for Oona or some of the other big guys.

Meloku the Clouded Mirror: (Wizard) An unexpected star of the deck. Tap Island, remove Island, replace Island and get a free flying Illusion token with all your mana still untapped AND a landfall trigger.

Oboro Breezecaller : (Wizard) Another great land-blinking engine: Tap 2 Island, return one to your hand, untap the other, play the Island = free landfall.

Walking Atlas: Tap, get to play an extra land each turn. The more of these on the field, the more times you can blink your lands each turn.

Archetype of Imagination: (Wizard) Need to get your fliers through? Surprise! All your opponent's flying blockers are suddenly irrelevant.

Faerie Swarm : The more little guys you have on the field, the bigger this fella gets.

Stormtide Leviathan: Ok, so he doesn't fly but he keeps everyone else's non-fliers from attacking you. Plus he provides his own form of evasion - Islandwalk. This slot might also work for Patron of the Moon.

Windrider Eel : Didn't draw a Hedron Crab? No problem! All that landfall can make this guy enormous pretty quickly. The downside is he's not a great blocker, unless you have a Walking Atlas on the field to play a land on an opponent's turn.

Meloku, Oona, Oboro Breezecaller, and Patron of the Moon all fly, too. Plus Meloku & Oona make more little flying guys.

Brainstorm: Trigger Jace's Erasure 3 times and choose from your whole hand what you wait for. Very nice. NOT Modern legal, so if you need to go that route, replace with the cantrip of your choice, or Tome Scour for more mill, or more Mizzium Skin.

Counsel of the Soratami : Draw 2 cards, trigger Jace's Erasure, and have more stuff to play. Sweet. Plus, it's pretty.

Distant Melody : Draw a card for each permanent that shares a creature type. Sometimes it works well, other times not so much. Especially nice to play if you've got a bunch of Illusion or Faerie Rogue tokens on the field. Definitely replaceable.

Mizzium Skin: Hexproof on something you need to save, or save them all with an overload. If you need more protection, you might add more of these or some Negate.

Staff of the Mind Magus : Turn those blinking Islands into lifegain. I'm hoping this will offset the time it takes for the mill to get underway and the little tokens to line up. (I think Sailor Moon must've had one of these, too....)

Vedalken AEthermage: One word: Wizardcycling. Use this card to search for Meloku, Oona, Archetype of Imagination & more. It's sad it won't pull things like Hedron Crab or Faerie Swarm, but I'm usually very happy to see this little fellow.
