In this 7th installment in the Extreme Budget series, you pilot a flying array of creatures (plus some ground creatures as well) under the command of Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to create a mass of life loss for your opponent, as well as plenty of triggers from his own ability to generate mana and extra abilities for bonus cards and creatures.

Card Types

- Triggerfodder: These are any cards that combo well with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician's ability to create giant bonuses, such as extra tokens with Ant Queen and cards with Archivist

• Ramp: Mostly creatures instead of artifacts such as Azorius Cluestone, because they double up as attackers for Derevi, Empyrial Tactician.

• Equipment: An extra bonus, as there are so many flyers they can be attached to, and easily become very could before and after combat.

• Tokens: Cards that generate multiple creatures, such as Migratory Route .

• Protection: A few evasion and hexproof-esque cards to mainly save Derevi, Empyrial Tactician,but useful otherwise.

• Combat: A few miscellaneous effects for combat that are extremely helpful, such as Wild Beastmaster.

• Removal: Very few of these, but just in case something needs to be gotten rid of.

Notable Cards

Ant Queen: Generates massive numbers of tokens through untapping mana sources with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician.

Arbiter of the Ideal : If you're lucky enough, it can get 5 permanents in a single turn if not more.

Archivist : Basically another Bident of Thassa, but more fun to use.

Astral Cornucopia: Early game simple mana-rock, late game insane mana booster with untapping it.

Beckcall: At least draw four cards and get four more untap triggers each turn, up to 12 or so if you're lucky.

Cultivator of Blades: Swing in for 40 easily in a single turn.

Daring Thief: "Have w 1/1 Insects, and I'll take your Blightsteel Colossus and Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre."

Darksteel Mutation: Easy removal for a commander that doesn't let him come back.

Flurry of Wings: Blocks everything my opponent is attacking with, or doubles my creature count.

Pollenbright Wings : With the Equipment in here, easily can create 4-10 saprolings a turn.

Upwelling : Sure, it helps my foes, but generates massive mana in combat, then you can use it on your main phase.
