The first Extreme Budget Modern Deck, Extreme Budget Modern Heroism is based around red heroic triggers, and often wins turns 4-6, which is quite decent for a sub $10 deck.

The concept of this deck is very simple: play one or two heroic creatures, then start casting buff spells to gain extra points of damage and other bonuses, and then swing for massive points of damage. There are also a couple of cheaper removal spells to get rid of blockers or stronger creatures your opponents control.
  • Akroan Crusader: One of the two heroic Dwarven Traders, this Theros commander of fighters raises an army in a matter of turns.

  • Arena Athlete : One of the strongest but slowest heroes in this deck, this Colosseum conqueror takes down all potential defenders with a single spell.

  • Foundry State Denizen: Especially efficient with Akroan Crusader, even though this Ravnica goblin doesn't have heroic, he can easily swing for have amounts of damage quite quickly.

  • Frenzied Goblin : The Flexible slot, this Multiplane goblin is similar to Arena Athlete in that its not great at the beginning, but removes threatening blockers later on.

  • Satyr Hoplite : The classic Dwarven Trader with a tremendous upside in this deck, this hopeful goatman hero will soon be striking down monsters with the likes of Tarmogoyf and Arcbound Ravager.

  • Borrowed Hostility : A boost especially efficient on unblocked unsuspected fighters, this spell can add three to four damage to an attack or, in the late game, get rid of your enemy's most powerful challenger.

  • Brute Force: The famous timeshifted version of the iconic green pump spell now near obsolete, this mighty spell is still a favorite among your creatures.

  • Built to Smash: The conditional Brute Force, this heavy-hitting mechanical enhancement will plow through anything.

  • Hammerhand : A more lasting spell, this piece of magic provides both evasion, celerity, and a powerful limb, providing a multi-use spell that can turn your foe's side into scrap metal.

  • Rouse the Mob : A less potent spell than most of these, this one's main use is to provide damage throughout your opponent's defense, and a late game advantage if you ever do get to four lands.

  • Titan's Strength : The iconic mountain warrior's strength that all heroes desire, this boost to the muscles will destroy an opposing planeswalker as well as adding in a bonus ability that gives this spell the name plate so many desire: "value."

  • Burst Lightning : While obviously not Lightning Bolt , this is one of the cheaper but still viable replacements for it.

  • Flame Slash: A slower speed but with more widespread targets to kill. Also, with the COnspiracy: Take the Crown release, this dropped down to a reasonable price.
