So my best friend, and only regular Magic Player, decided that we would make a couple decks specifically to counter each other. His favorite color is White, while mine is Black. So he's making a deck that is all about Black destruction, and mine is all about White destruction. The only rules are that besides lands, only cards of our own colors can be in it, no artifacts, and mono-colored.

I have no idea how he is building his, other than I'm pretty sure he will go heavily into enchantments as I will have no direct way to counter this. So I'm thinking speed will be my key. A few good life draining spells for finishers, and some -/-counters for creature removal? I am pretty sure his creatures will ALL be Protection From Black. So it needs to be handled indirectly.

May possibly completely switch things up and go for Discard as a primary tool in the deck. I REALLY want the deck to focus on what makes black so strong. Discard, sacrifice, destroy (although I'm positive his stuff will all have protection from black), graveyard control on both sides.
