Vicious Battlerager is another simple common critter that plays around with Initiative... but that's not what we're interested in today. He also has a pretty insanely punishing ability for any blockers out there: if he's blocked, your opponent loses a whopping 5 life. The real scary part? It's 5 life per creature... if you can somehow get four creatures to block the Battlerager, then boom, your opponent loses 20 life and is dead before even his creatures are.

Green is the colour of Lure effects, so that feels like a natural pairing. The other way to help the Battlerager do his thing is a friendly neighbourhood Hunted Troll - it immediately gives your opponent four creatures with which to block, spelling a death sentence. Even if your opponent gained a chunk of life and won't die in one fell swoop, the fact that all of his creatures are busy blocking your Battlerager means that the Troll is free to breeze through with 8 huge points of damage, too. Hunted Bonebrute is backup, not giving away quite as many creatures or hitting quite as hard, but being cheaper to play and having some nifty extra abilities.

The high power of both of your Hunted creatures means the Ferocious component of Roar of Challenge should often trigger, letting you make another pass with the Battlerager if for some reason you need to. Meanwhile, if your opponent is able to attack with or otherwise tap all his critters so they can't block and get him killed, a surprise Benefactor's Draught can render them all helpless to throw themselves in the way of certain danger. Talk about good intentions gone awry!
