Since I kinda wanted to get into {WB}Orzhov{WB}, I built this to have it resemble the IRL Roman Catholic Church. Of course the Church of Deals is the opposite of the Holy See, but I wanted to mechanically make it as "holy" as I can, while still keeping it as true to the {W}{B} nature of the deck.

So for this build, rather than just lifegain, I also wanted to focus on +1/+1 counters. I'm fusing this deck with the {B}Black{B} vampiric, wrathful, life-stealing side from the Rakdos Festival of Fire, but also the {W}White{W} protective, spot removing, wide-swinging strategies of my good friend's Angel tribal deck ((he uses Giada, Font of Hope *f-pre*)).

So this deck consists of a bunch of Angels, white removal spells, black enchantments, and cards that synergize with lifegain and +1/+1 counters, led by His Holiness Pope Karlov. Primary win cons are either big beatdown (helps if you make Karlov unblockable with Vexilus Praetor, Whispersilk Cloak, Shizo, Death's Storehouse, or The Black Gate), shooting everyone in the face with the Rube Goldberg machine of Aetherflux Reservoir + Bolas's Citadel + Sensei's Divining Top , draining everyone with either Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond / Exquisite Blood + Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose , or pinging everyone with Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista .
