Not Quite Dragons.

Drakes

A Budget-Friendly theme deck that does cool things in experimental ways

Blue Land Destruction:

Blue might be the worst at destroying lands, but we Do get Boomerang, Confounding Conundrum + Ghost Quarter , Cryptic Command, and Most Importantly Reality Acid.

Reality Acid is Arguably the Best (non-Counterspell) blue removal ever printed, because of its reoccurrence and ability to enchant any permanent. Paired With just a Drake Familiar or Boomerang, it starts to get Annoying for your opponent. How serendipitous that Reality Acid and some Boomerang printings have dragons in the art.

Lack Of Counter Spells: I must apologize to all blue players for not running more counterspells, But the Power of Cryptic Command makes it the most desirable Counterspell for this deck. We have Pseudo Counter magic with our Drake Weenies Spiketail Hatchling and Cerulean Drake.

, An awkward Curve: It's definitely not the most competitive curve. Our only Turn 1 drop is Roost of Drakes, and we Only Play it Turn 1 if our best turn 2 Drop is Drake Familiar.

Ideally we Want Confounding Conundrum, and a ghost quarter as soon as possible, with a Reality Acid and Talrand's Invocation on Curve, and hopefully mess up the opponents curve while Swinging Drake Weenies and making a health Gap

We top our curve Kind of High with Windstorm Drake, but it's definitely worth the Drake theme to run it 4*.
