Neobrand is dead, long live Neobrand!
Introduction
This deck is designed to slam Griselbrand into play on turn one and win after drawing our library.
This version bypasses Leyline of Sanctity, Torpor Orb, and similar effects.
This deck has a rather high price for a budget deck, but is well below the cost of most tier decks.
Mulliganing
Generally mulligan until your hand looks like the following:
This means that the deck can mulligan twice and still go off on turn one.
Note that the Chancellor of the Tangle must be in our opening hand and will not work with Summoner's Pact.
Windmill Slam
- Make your land drop.
- Pause for dramatic effect.
- Exile two green cards from your hand to cast Allosaurus Rider.
- Cast Neoform or Eldritch Evolution, sacrificing Allosaurus Rider.
- Search your library for Griselbrand and slam him onto the battlefield.
Now that Griselbrand is on the battlefield, activate his ability once.
If the opponent responds by removing Griselbrand:
Otherwise, activate his ability again.
You should draw into the following cards:
You can also use the following cards only once as a last resort:
Draw as much of your library as possible using the above cards to gain life.
You may cycle an Edge of Autumn along the way.
You should now have more than seven life and less than seven cards in your library.
You should also have at least three Mox Ambers in your hand.
Use the Mox Ambers to float , making sure to activate each one before the legend rule kicks in.
Cast a Springleaf Drum using , using it to tap Griselbrand to add .

You should now have floating.
If Laboratory Maniac is still in your library:
Otherwise cast Laboratory Maniac using the floating mana.
Activate Griselbrand, drawing out and winning the game.
Sideboard
While the deck is very much a glass cannon, the sideboard is designed to get the drop on the opponent for game two.
Notes
Noxious Revival increases consistency when going off by putting cards back on top to redraw with Griselbrand.
The following budget replacements can reduce the deck cost significantly without directly compromising the main lines:
