So, a friend asked me to build him a relatively simple deck (or at least one that doesn't involve trying to keep track of storm count or anything similar) and when I asked him to give me an archetype to narrow my work down he only said "Draw cards and win." ...So I took him literally.

Ergo, the objective of this deck is a simple one, draw as many cards as possible and through that win the game. Jace, Wielder of Mysteries and Laboratory Maniac are in there so on the off chance that a person playing this deck draws all the card of their library they win that way but the likelihood of that happening before the other effects cause a victory is pretty slim.

Why? Because of the commander, The Locust God, giving the player a 1/1 haste flying insect with each card draw. Witty Roastmaster, Impact Tremors, Warstorm Surge and Purphoros, God of the Forge makes the generation of those insects hurt (as well as Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind and Niv-Mizzet, Parun just causing straight up damage with card draw.)

Raid Bombardment and Cavalcade of Calamity make those insects pack a mean punch with unblockable damage, as well as Outpost Siege to make trying to get rid of them also a pain. If you're feeling mean, use Goblin Bombardment to trigger the siege.

But of course, what's a card draw deck without card draw? Almost every instant and sorcery draws at least one card, with most giving a single target effect. Why is that important? Zada, Hedron Grinder, that's why. That turns the 1 mana cost draw cards into cards that double the size of your board, combine with Archmage Emeritus for extra insane draw, Storm-Kiln Artist for an insane amount of mana, or Octavia, Living Thesis to turn your little 1/1s into unholy 8/8 flying monstrosities.

Other fun ways to card draw include: Skullclamp : Use a mana to get net 1 insect, 2 card draw. Unctus, Grand Metatect, Windreader Sphinx and Bident of Thassa : Makes the insects double themselves when they attack. Curiosity : You all know this baby. Put it on either Niv-Mizzet's for infinite card draw. Kindred Discovery : Choose insect, swing in and have everything be engulfed in the swarm.
