There are a lot of good ways to approach this but what I'm going to do is list every card that I replaced and what I replaced them for and why and after that I'll have some categories with altenatives.

Essential Cards Show

These are cards that you're just going to have to eat the price of because they are needed for the deck to function. They're going to end up in total being around $40-$50 dollars and will easily be over at least 70% of the deck's price.

Patron of the Orochi

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

Cloudstone Curio - This is expensive. But I can't really recommend you take it out considering the deck depends on it.

Akroma's Memorial

Lightning Greaves

Thousand-Year Elixir

Not Recommended Card Replacements Show

If you really must find alternatives to these there are other ways to change zones and get around the "once per turn" stipulation.

• Invasive Species - Bounces a creature back to our hand. Fantastic! But without a way to get itself back it can't really be an engine.
• Stampeding Wildebeests - By their nature they can only be used once per turn and not at during the phase that you'd want.
• Changeling Titan - Champion is the closest to blinking that Green has. Changeling titan is an interesting addition (and is a snake!) but you're likely only going to get. Wren's Run Packmaster is they only other mono-green champion creature and it's restricted to elves.
• Lifelace / Distorting Lens + Artifact Creature that bounces creatures - that creature doesn't exist. I looked xD

Again I don't recommend running the deck without good haste providers but there are cheap alternatives.

• Haunted Cloak
• Chariot of Victory
• Surrak, the Hunt Caller - Can't be used as a combo engine but can be used to get an explosive turn when you tap out for an early Patron.

Ramp Show

Boundless Realms >> Zendikar Resurgent. These are both great cards. Zendikar Resurgent might be better for this deck though even though the lands from Boundless Realms are harder to remove, Zendikar Resurgent's capacity to win you the game on your combo is more than enough reason to include it.

Extraplanar Lens >> Nissa's Pilgrimage . Extraplanar lens is an easy choice for removal because it helps opponents. Nissa's Pilgrimage . I'm personally a fan of Cultivate and the pilgrimage is just basically better than it in this deck.

Lotus Cobra >> Llanowar Druid . Included this because it has the potential to double your mana for a turn essentially and also obscurely goes infinite with a bounce engine in play and a recursion card like Skullwinder or Deadwood Treefolk.

Oracle of Mul Daya >> Into the Wilds. Threw Into the Wilds in because I personally like it. It's an enchantment so its harder to remove than the Oracle. If you don't like it there's always Ranger's Path or something.

Shaman of Forgotten Ways >> Somberwald Sage . It pains me to remove the shaman's second ability from my strategy. Somberwald Sage offers strictly more mana though on the first ability and that really helps you reach the mana threshold needed to pull off the combo.

Vernal Bloom >> Reap and Sow . See Extraplanar Lens section. I added Reap and Sow in because it puts Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx into play (or Sapseep Forest if you just need something to do with the combo. The versatility of being able to destroy a land is gravy.

Joraga Treespeaker >> Elvish Mystic. This was a tough call but getting up the three mana on turn two is important and Elvish Mystic is better with Cloudstone Curio by himself.

Sol Ring >> I actually didn't replace this. Most people have them. Thinking about adding Joraga Treespeaker back in instead because she helps with going infinite with the Cloudstone Curio/mana dorks combo.

Dosan the Falling Leaf >> Gaea's Herald . Basically serves the same function in terms of protecting your combos.

Eternal Witness >> Deadwood Treefolk. Deadwood treefolk is a house. I know you can go infinite with him and Llanowar Druid and Temur Sabertooth. The combo is a little too complex for me to write out but it basically just involves paying 8 to get x then pay 4 to get x then repeat (x is equal to your forests). It costs 12 to go through a whole cycle so as long as you have 7 forests (maybe less haha) you can get infinite mana.

Quirion Druid / Thelonite Monk / Viridescent Wisps / Lush Growth / Vastwood Zendikon / Gaea's Liege - Untap any land or creature with the Patron combo, not just forests or green creatures. I haven't really found anything to make this worth it except for Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx .
