Big Mer.

Goals of the deck:

• Giving +1/+1 counters to Merfolk through various other creatures like Deeproot Elite, Forerunner of the Heralds, Shapers of Nature, Vineshaper Mystic and Vorel of the Hull Clade or enchantments like Hadana's Climb   and Path of Discovery.

• Making said creatures with +1/+1 counters unblockable with Herald of Secret Streams or through Islandwalk Master of the Pearl Trident.

• Gaining additional card advantage through Seafloor Oracle, Cold-Eyed Selkie, Beast Whisperer, Lifecrafter's Bestiary, Bident of Thassa and Shapers' Sanctuary among others.

• Untapping my Merfolk during opponents untap stage through Merrow Commerce and Quest for Renewal.

• Standard Merfolk synergy with Merfolk Lords like; Master of the Pearl Trident, Merfolk Sovereign, Merfolk Mistbinder, Merrow Reejerey and at some point when I can get my hands on them Lord of Atlantis and Coralhelm Commander.

• Flooding the board with small, cheap Merfolk with Deeproot Waters and such, that will give each other buffs to begin with and then having large leviathans and other sea creatures to close the game out with enter the battlefield effects and board wipes like Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep and Scourge of Fleets if going wide with plenty of smaller cheap Merfolk hasn't done the trick so far.

• Alternate win condition of getting Kiora's Follower equipped with Illusionist's Bracers and then tapping Kiora's Follower to untap a target permanent. This will then trigger Illusionist's Bracers and I will untap Kiora's Follower with the additional trigger. Continue this to have a net gain whilst untapping creatures on the board and Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca infinitely drawing cards, adding +1/+1 counters to all my merfolk and untapping lands so I can cast anything in hand. Winning by board wipping or just summoning all the creatures in the deck and tapping them to make Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca unblockable to win via commander damage.

Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca as my commander as they're able to help with unblockable damage, card draw and +1/+1 counters to tie the themes all together.

This is also the first EDH deck I've built and am on a pretty tight budget so not looking to spend a great deal on singles unless they add something substantial. For instance, Lord of Atlantis is around $15 AUD so although good, not worth the investment since the entire deck as it is was around $60 AUD. Others like Sol Ring, Door of Destinies and Vanquisher's Banner are warranted and worth the investment but just a little too expensive to fit in at the moment but will be added over time.

Thanks for any and all recommendations and since the deck is over limit at the moment at 105 cards any recommendations on cards to remove are appreciated as well.

EDIT: I have no been playing Commander for a year after making this deck and have been upgrading it slowly. It fits pretty well within my playgroups meta of a value deck that just might win after one or two good turns in mid-game.

Still looking to update the deck but I'd like to keep it around the same power level and keep all the jank
