Yeah its , yeah its fast, and yeah, you are dead. players aren't the only ones who can end a game quickly after-all.

Our Game-plan - Fill the board with strong cheep creatures, and utilize black burn spells to finish off the job. Yeah you heard me, black burn spells.

For our soldiers we have three turn one options. Hey there Vampire Lacerator , 2/2 for just , what more could we want in an aggro deck. Yes he costs us one life an upkeep, but only until you take out half the opponents life total. Which, lets face it, should happen on turn four at the latest most games. So what are we looking at, a bolt to our own face to be able to swing for two each turn. Please and thank-you. Next up Carnophage , another 2/2 for , what is this Christmas. Unfortunately the one damage a turn has no shut off switch like Mr. Lacerator, but still being able to run 8 total one drop 2/2s is pretty damn nice in a pauper aggro list so I'm not complaining. And to round out our 12 one drops we have Guul Draz Vampire . At 1/1, Guul is definitely our least impactful turn one. But he does bump our one drop creature count up to 12, practically guaranteeing us to get out a body turn one every game. What Guul lacks on turn one, however, he makes up for come turn four. Again we get a benefit from dropping our opponent to 10. Gaining both +2/+1 and intimidate is nothing short of spectacular.

Turn two we get two new ones. Let's start off with Sangrophage , Carnophage's big brother. He's a little larger and a little more painful to have around, but if a 2/2 for is fast enough why wouldn't a be fast enough too. Next up we got Ruthless Cullblade . While he doesn't start off as big as Sangrophage, he does end up with 4 power once we whittle down the opponent to 10 life. Basically he is a stronger Guul, so he completes our two drop creature slot nicely.

And to round things off we get Soulcage Fiend . A three drop 3/2 which does work even in death by bolting the opponent as well as ourselves. By the time soulcage hits the battlefield the three damage he results in on death should be a pretty big deal.

Now for the burn:

To start it off we have our very own version ofLightning Bolt, Bump in the Night. Its three damage to the face for , We always want to play a creature turn one. But hey, if our worst case turn one is a bolt to their face then I'm not complaining. Next up we've got Tyrant's Choice While tyrant's choice does call for a vote, a tie means our opponent loses 4 life, and this is the choice we would want every time anyway. So here we have 4 damage for .

What black deck would be complete without removal? Before side-boarding we have 2 of each of three options; Disfigure, Geth's Verdict, and Victim of Night. A little something for every situation.

To complete the deck we add in Sign in Blood. One of the biggest issues an aggro deck can have is running out of gas. So two cards for and two life, seems like the perfect remedy. Oh, and did I mention that if we are trying to push through that last little bit of damage, sign in blood is actually a targeted spell. That's right, in a pinch we've got two damage to use as the final nail in our opponents coffin. Can you imagine their face as they die to a sign in blood?

So yeah there it is. Pure Black aggression. We do deal ourselves a good amount of damage along the way, and its important to keep that in mind as we muscle our way through each game. But hey that's what black does, you gotta spend life to take full advantage of the color. And hey they shouldn't be around long enough to make us regret it.
