Trollhide

Enchantment — Aura

Enchant creature

Enchanted creature gets +2/+2 and has "{1}{G}: Regenerate this creature." (The next time the creature would be destroyed this turn, it isn't. Instead tap it, remove all damage from it, and remove it from combat.)

Hi, you've got a decent start here. If you wanted to get down to 60 cards, here's what I'd consider dropping:

4 Forest, Wild Growth and Verdant Haven. 20 lands should be plenty, especially with all of your Elf ramp cards.

Bountiful Harvest and Wurm's Tooth. Between Wellwisher and Essence Warden there's plenty of life gain.

2 Fog. The Druid's Deliverance fits your theme better.

Giant Growth, Titanic Growth and Trollhide. You could swap all of these out for an Overrun, Overwhelming Stampede or Ezuri, Renegade Leader if you have them.

2 Elvish Eulogist, Elvish Scout, Golgari Decoy and Skyshroud Archer. These creatures don't fully fit into what you're trying to do.

2 Moonglove Extract, Blessings of Nature, Cobbled Wings and Bower Passage. These just seem like filler.

Hopefully that helps. Good luck.

Very nice budget deck!

Cards that add Counters: 19. Cards that offer Enchants: 15. Cards that offer equip: 16.

It looks like you have many ways to augment your commander as needed. The lowest one is enchantments, but 15% chance still looks pretty good. Do you have any Enchantment tutors or artifact tutors you could add?

You've got lots of hexproof which is excellent protection. I'm not seeing any boardwipe protection however. What about Regenerate to stay out, while keeping counters/enchantments/equipment attached? There's Heal the Scars, Mending Touch, and Regenerate. Fortitude, Molting Skin, Savage Silhouette, Serpent Skin, and Trollhide are enchantments, too.

Lastly I see lots of card draw, which is great. Lots of land drops look good on paper, but I am not experienced with how many is too many. Do you have other cards beyond Silkguard and Exponential Growth that gain value from increasingly large mana pools? Obviously if you have the mana and you have the cards, it is great to keep casting. How much do you foresee needing to tap in one turn?

pnkghst9, both of those are great cards. Birds of Paradise is a classic. I’ve never seen Trollhide before, but it looks like a solid regen/pump card. Thank you so much for stopping by and checking this out!

im not sure what you would give up for them at this point but I would say to take a look at cards similar to Trollhide and Birds of Paradise for some regen and mana ramp to get out some things a smidge faster along with more one turn boost potential

I do not like Font of Fertility, Trollhide or Furnace of Rath, cut the first 2 replace the furnace with Fiery Emancipation….edit the emancipation does not work as he is not dealing the damage

Reanimate some enchantments. If I recall correctly, auras (ex. Trollhide ) only target on CAST. If you reanimate them, you do not cast them, they just come into play attached to whatever you want them on. If you can get them out of your graveyard and into play (I can't think of any non-white spells that do an Obzedat's Aid or Retether impression), you can get them onto your Shroud'ed creatures.

Thanks to you, KylerStar, for much appreciated suggestions- don’t think I own any of the ones on your list except maybe a couple? The two creatures you suggested seem like especially good adds...

Also thanks to YouveBeen0wned for upvoting- I did same for your Sliver EDH!

Just removed these 5: Harmonize , Trollhide , Spider Climb , Flame-Kin Zealot , and Frenzied Tilling in favor of “better, cheaper stuff”.

@TheRedGoat Thanks for your suggestions and sorry for my bad englado.

Usually I need 2 creatures to kill Grothama, All-Devouring for the first time in a match. Personally I'm fine with that and don't think, that we need either Bow of Nylea or Grafted Exoskeleton .

The deck is built to draw a ton of cards and it pretty much always does. The only thing that can get in our way is, when we keep a starting hand without something for card draw, we don't draw anything similar and our creatures (which were to kill Grothama) will be removed. In this case a cheap early card draw spell like Life's Legacy or Hunter's Insight could be really useful. (When i built the deck, i was also considering those two but simply forgot to put them to the Maybeboard.

The Great Aurora - I've never seen this card before and I'm not quite sure if we need more lands on the battlefield, when we can already cast a 9 mana spell. The card draw is pretty sweet tho combined with Psychosis Crawler . (And you are right, the deck makes it easy to have a handsize of 20+ cards.)

Vivien's Invocation - In my opinion See the Unwritten is simply better.

Death's Presence - Could be pretty neat, but I'm not sure if I would cut antyhing for it.

Pathbreaker Ibex - Great card, can also be tutored for with Fierce Empath (I will definitely add it to the 99 in the future!)

Berserk - Already in the deck. Love the card... used it one time on a buffed Mossbridge Troll to hit for 50 and draw almost my whole deck with Greater Good .

Dragon Throne of Tarkir + Surestrike Trident - I almost cut all equipment cards because they were too slow. Only Darksteel Plate and Lightning Greaves are still in the deck.

Ravenous Slime - Most of the time our commander is dead before we end our turn. And if she is still alive, then we have some protection in back up. So we don't need Ravenous Slime .

I'd never suggest to play Grothama, All-Devouring just to have her on the board. Only play her, if you can make use of her ability in that turn or can protect her until your next turn.

I don't like Trollhide / Blinding Fog - When you need more protection for our wurm Blossoming Defense is cheaper and better.

Verdant Sun's Avatar - Personally I like the card, but I never felt needing it.

Gigantosaurus / Crash of Rhino Beetles / Phyrexian Dreadnought - Every creature in my deck has either a useful ability or is hard to remove. The 3 beater u mentioned are only big and die to easily.

I can only recommend Grothama, All-Devouring if you like card draw and smashing face with big hitters. She definitely has a unique ability which you can't find on any other card in magic. Beside Barktooth Warbeard , Grothama is my favorite EDH deck.
