but you're not casting the 3rd Nyxborn Shieldmate for to bestow it, because Blood Funnel will not reduce the cost.

Ok, say I have a Nyxborn Shieldmate as a creature out enchanted by another Nyxborn Shieldmate, another creature enchanted by Necromancer's Magemark , and a Blood Funnel .

I cast another Nyxborn Shieldmate for W targeting either your already enchanted Nyxborn Shieldmate (both aura sheildmates become creatures) when you sacrifice the creature sheildmate for Blood Funnel .

Additionally, because the creature sheildmate was enchanted by an aura, it has Necromancer's Magemark raise dead effect returning it to my hand.

From this point I could cast the returned Nyxborn Shieldmate for W targeting one sheildmate, and sacrificing the other.

There would be other cards that work well with this like Athreos, God of Passage , Blood Artist , Hall of Heliod's Generosity , Sigil of the Empty Throne , and my favorite Bitter Ordeal .

And I found this hiding: Bestow and Cost Modifications

I'm just making sure this part is correct: "So, by the time you get to applying Thalia, it’s a noncreature spell and will cost you 1 more. By the time you get to applying Heartless Summoning, it’s not a creature so you won’t get the discount."

If Thalia, Guardian of Thraben would increase the cost because it's a noncreature, then Blood Funnel should reduce it too, right?

I think I answered your question and brought it back around to my question in maybe too many words there lol.

Ahh yeah, right on; I forgot about Flickering Ward being uncommon. I definitely think you'd do well ramping up Ethereal Armor with some eidolons though. Nyxborn Shieldmate as previously suggested and Hopeful Eidolon work wonders for me.

You can accomplish the same effect as recur-able Conviction, but for less mana, by using recur-able Flickering Ward . Eidolons such as Nyxborn Shieldmate really amplify the strength of the Ethereal Armor you're running, and Tragic Poet is a great & cheap way to save enchantments that get put into the graveyard. If you want other suggestions, you can check out my deck titled "Intense Aura Beatdown". It's not a Pauper deck, but it might point you in some directions that you could take advantage of nevertheless. The suggestions I've listed here are just some of my non-rare staples that I use in my Legacy deck.

  1. Nyxborn Shieldmate for Boros Reckoner both better creatures and reckoner works amazing with lightmines if u decide to add it
  2. Palace Guard for Archetype of Aggression

Artifacts

  1. Darksteel Plate for Whispersilk Cloak since your guys are invincible anyways. this also deters them from being targeted.. boardwipes will still work though.
  2. Stoneforge Masterwork for Tenza, Godo's Maul if up u this on ur commander hes a 10/7 menance with trample, seems like a better piece
  3. Armory of Iroas - Sunforger costs a few more mana but u have alot of tricks u can pull out of it for free late game
  4. Staff of Nin for Mind's Eye
  5. Avacyn's Collar for Spear of Heliod upgrades all ur doods and makes people scared to attack you
  6. Manalith for Commander's Sphere an upgrade

SORCERIES

  1. Act of Treason for Faithless Looting card draw with flashback seems always good
  2. Mass Mutiny - Mob Rule seems like an upgrade

INSTANTS

  1. Miraculous Recovery - Settle the Wreckage amazing board wipe, can really put you ahead. if not interested in a board wipe id suggest maybe a single target removal like Chaos Warp . i feel like you need ways to deal with high pressure threats
  2. Pay No Heed - Deflecting Palm
  3. Righteousness for Fight to the Death i know these two cards arent related, but how hilarious would it be to cast this when someone else is combating another player, basically can wipe two players boards if timed proper. if u would prefer to keep a combat trick here i would suggest maybe Gods Willing or something that does not require the creature to be blocking
  4. Smite - Ride Down
  5. Warleader's Helix - Savage Beating or Ajani Vengeant i feel helix doesnt provide enough value, for removal it is very weak , if u want good removal to replace this instead of a threats i listed, i would consider Oblivion Ring type cards
  6. Martial Glory - Boros Charm charm is must include, so much value! protect from boardwipes including land destruction! removal or maybe boost ur commander after blocks with a double strike if some1 is already been hit once and hello 21 commander dmg

At your request I took a look and wanted to offer some suggestions to make this stronger. That being said I have no idea of what your budget is like or how your acquire cards. Take what I say with a grain of salt.

What I would consider adding:

Isolated Chapel - self explanatory

Reliquary Tower - should be in every deck as a means of preventing discard due to mana flood/screw

Vault of the Archangel - you're running a deck where the creatures are your win condition, it's in your colors, might as well have the ability to abuse lifelink/deathtouch

Serra's Sanctum - super pricey for a single card, but well worth it in this sort of deck

Luminarch Ascension - 4/4 flying angels for 1W is pretty big, drops early, can be a target for sure, but value is there.

Land Tax - any ramp is good ramp, and this is one of the best

Erebos, God of the Dead - Great for card draw, side note of preventing others from gaining life

Orzhov Signet - more ramp, color fixing

Aura of Silence - tax opponents playing enchantments/artifacts, doubles as a removal spell. 100% necessary

Blind Obedience - tax opponents, possible life drain. Tempo card to make sure that you get to hit more often than they do

Mortify, Utter End, Anguished Unmaking, Path to Exile, Swords to Plowshares, Sudden Spoiling & Return to Dust - your instant removal package is abysmal, you have to be able to answer threats as they show up. Best case scenario, you make tokens with Daxos at the end of the turn before yours and you save your spot removal. Worst case scenario, you use the removal and make less tokens, but you don't die to a combo or something you can't deal with before your next turn. Can't stress enough how important Instants are in this format.

Cards I would remove:

Daxos's Torment - a 5/5 flier on your turn that can't block is mediocre outside of recovering from boardwipes, even then, it's too slow.

Defang & Pacifism- doesn't do enough. Cheap enchantment, should ideally be better removal.

Nyxborn Shieldmate - too weak of an effect. I get the "Enchantments matter" theme, but it's a slot better used for removal

God-Favored General - you don't have a reliable way to get evasion, so this will be chumpblocked and die more often than not. Daxos's effect is on cast, not etb, so it's a big gamble for a small effect.

Ghostblade Eidolon - far too expensive to Bestow, too weak to hard cast. If you want a double strike enchantment you should run Battle Mastery instead.

Celestial Archon - somewhat decent, but I have concerns about it being a worthwhile addition.

Blessed Spirits - too vanilla, gets big too slowly as it's based on cast so you can't abuse it with Daxos

Vivid Marsh & Vivid Meadow - you're running 2 colors, you don't need these. If you're going to run a land that ETB tapped, it might as well be one of the other numerous lands that comes in tapped that gives you an additional effect such as Scoured Barrens

i like this deck idea i had fun with a similar one with a splash of red. i found Seeker of the Way was a nice addition as i could target Phalanx Leader and end up with a 4/4 liflinker to hit with. in the red splash version i used cantrip enchantments/spells like Angelic Gift, Chosen by Heliod,Dragon Mantle and Defiant Strike to make shore my hand was always full and to make sure i never missed a land drop. 2 copies of each of Alesha, Who Smiles at Death and Skin Invasion  Flip also made a great addition to help deter removal and act a resurrection.

another version of this deck that i tried to make work was heroic/human/solder/enchantment tribal as the are 4 tribals that coincide and work well together. a playset of Bonds of Faith was amazing in this deck as it was used to either pump or pacify on demand Gideon's Lawkeeper, Nyxborn Shieldmate was also amazing and Veteran Swordsmith acted as Phalanx Leader copies 5 and 6. and once it rotates out Thalia's Lieutenant with work really well in you deck (price will go right down after rotation) and for times when you low on spells but high on mana i would recommend 2-3 Forbidding Watchtower

and finally why are you not playing a play set of Emerge Unscathed??! you dont have any other protection from removal and its 2 heroic triggers and is instant speed protection (+heroic trigger) and the next turn its another protection + heroic trigger and giving that creature unblockable!!!
