Creature — Satyr Beast
All creatures have forestwalk.

I was thinking last night of a Nemata, Grove Guardian deck with:
-
Life and Limb for saprolings because of the commander's ability to pump each players' saprolings.
-
Lumbering Satyr and Angel's Trumpet to encourage combat.
-
Watchdog , Crawlspace , and Elephant Grass to defend yourself.
-
Juntu Stakes and a saproling lord like Tendershoot Dryad
I really don't know if I want to build it with all the other decks im working on, though. If anyone wants to run with the idea, have at it.

1empyrean Lumbering Satyr would certainly create some chaos. No blocking allowed!

Guerric speaking of Forestwalk, Lumbering Satyr looks like fun.

Time for my first update to my Marisi deck. Having a lot of fun with it but noticing I'm struggling with card/creature draw sometimes, and occasionally dead drawing excess lands. Check out the removals/adds. Goal was to pull some land but not lose mana sources, a few tutors and some protection.
Removed: 2x Plains, Krosan Verge, Sakura-Tribe Elder, Farseek, Dryad Sophisticate almost always landed combat damage but opted for tutors over additional combat damage due to consistent shadow creature draws, Charming Prince tended to be a wasted draw/drop and I was really using it for scry, Brought Back was not effective as it must be used same turn as the permanent loss, Lumbering Satyr is good at times but not enough people playing Forests consistently to make it worth while to me.
Added: Karakas for board control and/or protection from opponent legendaries, Prismatic Vista for a great land search, Birds of Paradise...duh..., Fauna Shaman for pinpoint creature finds, mainly to finish combos as needed or search directly for Captain Sisay, Winds of Abandon for a single board wipe opportunity in late middle/late game, Eladamri's Call, Kodama's Reach, & Defense of the Heart are pretty self explanatory, and finally Asceticism for some extra protection and regenerate chances.
I'll keep updating with changes as I make them...still a few ideas I have but getting difficult to decide what to pull now. Comments and suggestions always welcome!!

This was kindof fun. I feel like it says more about personalities than bulky argument-fodder could.

griffstick no grades here. I'm not much of a teacher :) I love Void, used it a couple of times with Mathas, Fiend Seeker. You'd probably be a fan of me wacking a dinger with my Marisi deck using Lumbering Satyr to cause a cascade of forestwalking death. Personal opinion on countersells is they are nonproductive & time-wasting, LOVE redirects though Bolt Bend FTW! I put Narset's Reversal in a separate class as well since it limited-steals... Just feels more productive.

Deadpoo111 I should pick up a foily Command the Dreadhorde while it is so budget friendly. You ever Evolutionary Escalation a Needle Specter?
-
Suns_Champion limited tutors are cool, I'm a fan of political tutors. I've casted Thieves' Auction after Wishclaw Talisman did its' thing.

DrukenReaps punishment is one of the greatest things ever! Especially when it alters the opponent's decisions or timing of plays. I could rant forever on how many issues in EDH could be fixed with more creative punishers.

Ooooh!! This is what I'm talking about. Marisi is a custom-made tool specifically for prying open turtle-shells. Also, you may want to check how goad works, goad actually has a convoluted ruling over prison effects, so players will default to either attacking the player without the tax, & in lieu of another valid target will actually attack a player superseding attack taxes, so this is ONLY a problem once you have reached 1V1!! This is deck is a spiritual equivalent to my deck Cats off the Lawn! & you are right, it is a blast to play. A couple cards that have been on-point.. Lumbering Satyr , Return of the Wildspeaker , Fiendish Duo .. Two accelerants that I would STRONGLY consider are: Earnest Fellowship & Oath of Druids both are a complete bloodbath & make the control-life that much harder.

I have actually goaded my way to victory or (near)victory several times now with my Marisi deck Cats off the Lawn!. Some allstars for me have been: Naya Charm , Return of the Wildspeaker , Glory , Wishmonger , Selvala's Stampede , Thieves' Auction , Oath of Druids , Earnest Fellowship , Gingerbrute , Lumbering Satyr . I can give you any number of reasons for any of those if some of them make you scratch your head. Mass enchantment hate or artifact hate has been much more important than mass creature hate for me. Of any subtractions, I would recommend Blazing Archon or Norn's Annex as I usually have effectively goaded out of taking hits anyway.

Ride Down , Glory , Lumbering Satyr , Oath of Druids -which is the funnest 2 cmc enchantment ever... Radically shifts player's focus, especially if you have evasion and Marisi around.
