The idea is that you ping away your opponents' life totals with cards like Manabarbs, Spellshock, and Impatience, while forcing their permanents to enter the battlefield tapped and slow down their game with cards like Kismet.

Then once Anya's abilities are online, we cast our General and hit the town with Battle Mastery.

I need some advice on what to cut from the deck.

Funny enough I also run a Purphoros deck where I try to do the exact opposite with devotion. But I guess a 6/5 indestructible for 4 isn't bad. Might get a few pings off casting creatures He is also fun with Pyrohemia.

Pyrostatic Pillar makes sense and I had thought about it before. It works similar to Spellshock with LD. I could replace Impatience since it wouldn't have much impact until late game. Eidolon would be great, but it's $10 atm and a creature (not necessarily a bad thing par se).

I have Vandalblast in the deck already along with Viashino Heretic. You're right about the artifact hate. I'll have to find a spot for Shattering Spree and some other decent arty hate. What are your thoughts on Ancient Runes?

Impatience is sort of a choice I guess. And that opens up a lot more cards that punish people for doing certain things like Manabarbs, No Mercy, Oppression, and Rain of Gore.

Blood Clock fits your idea nicely. Although I feel that all these life taxing effects may not be enough in a 40 life format so you may want cards that prevent life gain like Havoc Festival and Everlasting Torment.
