multimedia on Aminatou, the infected

Hey, interesting version of Aminatou. I don't think DC/Oracle and Infect are causal strategies, but if that's what you want to play then more power too you. Be careful with Infect in a causal setting as you will become the archenemy until you stop playing it.

Your deck is missing two cards to give you 100. I suggest adding Sol Ring and Wishclaw Talisman. Sol is a staple card in Commander, one of the best cards for ramp. Wishclaw is very good with Aminatou since you own Wishclaw. Activate Wishclaw, tutor for any card. An opponent gains control of Wishclaw, but that opponent doesn't own Wishclaw and can't activate it because it will be tapped as well as it's not your opponent's turn. -1 Aminatou to blink Wishclaw, you gain back control of it untapped with three new wish counters on it.

28 lands is not enough land for a 99 card Commander deck. Consider 36 lands? 36 lands I've found to be the sweet spot for most Commander decks as it makes it so you consistently are not land screwed as well as not land flooded.

Lands to consider adding:

Cards to consider cutting for more lands:

Good luck with your deck.

Caerwyn on Wonkiest Standard Wins? - Any …

I don’t have any for standard, but I did have a win st Guilds of Ravnica Prerelease that was pretty wonderful.

I was playing a removal heavy Dimir deck, they were playing Golgari with large creatures. They dropped a Underrealm Lich on curve, and proceeded to soft through their deck to find and play some threatening cards. I kept removing his non-lich creatures, but he gloated and said I was only staving off the inevitable.

What he didn’t know, I had an Artful Takedown sitting in my hand from the beginning of the game. I might not have been able to get a threatening board stage to win, but I knew if I held off long enough, I would win.

He goes down to Zero with the lich, and plays sufficient creatures to win on his next turn. He says good game.

I hit his lich with -2/-4, killing it in a manner indestructible could not prevent. With the replacement effect no longer on play, on his draw he loses the game due to self-inflicted mill.

They were flabbergasted once the realised all the chump blocking with my useful creatures was not a series of poor decisions - decisions they sometimes asked if I wanted to take back - but a dedicated strategy to survive the numner of turns necessary for the mill to work.

Hi Quadsimotto, thanks for commenting.

From the top... Yes, if you can flicker Hostage Taker , it can be great fun. I did, however find the Siren's Ruse / Hostage Taker combo to be rather slow and dropped those cards from later versions of this deck. Artful Takedown promises a lot, but you often have less than 4 mana available when you want to play it. When it comes off, it works well. I haven't even looked at Mass Manipulation , with 6, 8, 10 cmc, it really scares me. Mnemonic Betrayal is a strong side-board card, but it really only becomes playable fairly late in the game. My latest incarnation of this deck is Aggro Thief

@enpc: Well, my Commander in question in this case is now Kess, Dissident Mage, so I'll thake the following into mind:

Beacon Bolt

Crackling Drake

Expansion / Explosion

Invert / Invent

Enhanced Surveillance

Mission Briefing

Omnispell Adept

Connive / Concoct

Discovery / Dispersal

Mnemonic Betrayal

Thought Erasure

Thief of Sanity

Vicious Rumors

Doom Whisperer

Cosmotronic Wave

Electrostatic Field

Experimental Frenzy

Dream Eater

Artful Takedown

(Basically anything w/ Surveil *...)

But I also need a way to protect my yard, now I use Kess. Isochron Scepter/Elite Arcanist. But how does a Kess Storm deck work? I have to cast things from my yard; & I'd like to keep at least some of my best stuff (CMC 6 >=.); after converting from Jeleva; all while having Instants/Sorceries of high cost. Any ideas as to How I can do that, enpc?

Better!

Unfortunately, I also think that your land count might be a bit low. 21 lands is more of an aggro deck, whereas control likes to be around 24-27. Maybe cutting back on Artful Takedown and Essence Scatter can get you the lands to match up with this. I'm still toying with a good distribution of Syncopate and Sinister Sabotage myself.

Cool deck! I like Cast Down and Walk the Plank better than Artful Takedown. Duress is really more of a sideboard card, especially since you have 3x Thought Erasure. I like Chemister's Insight better than Notion Rain. That might be something to try, although I can see how it could be worse because of the synergy with Enhanced Surveillance. Dream Eater is a fun card to maybe try. Maybe try Search for azcanta ? You do have a lot of creatures for that, though. Ooh, use Phyrexian Scriptures.

A suggestion, for stabilization and early game tempo, is Whispering Snitch I found at the pre-release just the snitch and Nightveil Sprite is a great value. Also, I would suggest instead of Vraska Takedown throwing in Artful Takedown just for greater utility; cause the removal from Assasin Trophy should help you deal with most threats.

p.s not sure if it has not been updated but "whispering snitch" is not listed as standard legal despite being in GOR
